Greetings Seibertronians! Thanks to the Official Transformers Instagram page, we now have the next crossover product for Transformers Officially revealed.

Yes, that's right, the next crossover hitting shelves will be Jurassic Park x Transformers! While it has been rumoured for a while, with the toy being 'Rexy' from the Transformers Kingdom Leader Class Beast Megatron mold, there might be more coming...

In the Instagram Post, they also tagged Ford, the car manufacturer who made the iconic Ford Explorers used in the film. Could this mean we may be seeing one of the recently released Car alt mode Transformers bearing those colours?

We'll bring you more information on this crossover when we get it!

If course this isn't the only crossover news today as listings have revealed a Universal Dracula x Transformers figure as well as a Amazon Prime Optimus Prime.

What do you think of this news? Excited to see this crossover?

Shout in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

The Crossovers have been vehicles.

SO I'm guessing its the SUV with the "interactive CD Rom"..

Question is will it turn into Alan Grant, Ian Malcom, Gennaro? Maybe into Nedry-tron?

The Jeep Wranglers used by the staff were Jeeps.

The electric touring cars were modified Ford Explorers.

Correct. The Jeeps they get picked up at the beginning from the helicopter Pad are actual Jeeps.

The SUVs used in the tour were Ford Explorers..

Time for a new Earth mode Hound, to be turned into the JP Jeep.

And then hopefully a retooled into Selects Rollbar, as it time the Throttlebots get some love.

I guess I'd be down for a JP jeep.

I'd be more down for a "Rexy" if my first BW Megatron didn't have the back kibble break off. That's a toy I will just never transform again.

Well yeah, because the toys available were all vehicles, and it matched the iconic vehicles from the films.
But now we have a T-Rex mold available and it will match the iconic T-rex from that film, the teaser is even a t-rex foot. You guys arent getting a vehicle for this one.

I'd agree except for:

Chatter around is that we're getting a two pack of sorts, Rexy vs the Ford Explorer

That would be interesting. May just make me try to get the 2 pack if its true.

Wonder wether they'd make a new mold for the Explorers or use an existing one and if so who?

My money is on Trailbreaker.

Also with all the skeleton dinosaurs we got in Kingdom, how likely is they'd include one of those too? Raptor Fossil anyone?

Would it surprise you to learn that everyone else is guessing the Trailbreaker/hoist mold

Yeah, took me a second to realize we already have an SUV mold they can use. Minimal retool too.

I kind of want a "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" stage to display Rexy on with a busted up Paleotrex underneath.

I'm guessing it will be the Kingdom Beast Megatron colored as Rexy. Wouldn't surprise me if they go this route at all and I think the hint is pretty obvious they are. I just hope they don't botch it since Hasbro apparently hated having the license for the series in the first place given how crappy the 2015 Jurassic World line was in retrospect. :P

You know, I would have been more excited had this crossover been announced during Alternators' lifetime because of the Alternators Hound mold being perfect for the JP Jeep.

If they're doing the Ford Explorer, I would actually expect (and hope) for a retool and re-shell of either Ectotron or Studio Series Ratchet (or maaaaybe a retool of one of the Dreads; the 2007 Stockade mold would also work but I doubt they'd dig that dinosaur up).

The people speculating Trailbreaker as a basis for the Explorer seem to be overlooking the fact that he's a 2-door vehicle and the Park Drive Ford Explorers were 4-door SUVs. Pretty sure they'd have to do some extra stretching work to make him pull it off, and he'd probably end up with a still-longer backpack.

1. I'm pretty sure the SS molds are off limits for anything but the Movies. The designs technically belong to Paramount and I don't think they allow that type of usage.

2. Even if they could use them, Ratchet is a Hummer, and the dreads are Chevrolet Suburbans and Tahoes. Both are far cries from an Explorer. I doubt either Ford or Chevy would be happy about their designs being used for a rival company's vehicle or on a rival company's vehicle.

3. Ectotron might have worked, but they would have to jack him up to SUV height, and of course tool a new car shell. Trailbreaker is 2 door, but it can easily be retooled into a 4 door, and can pass for a Ford. Unless they are going for an officially licensed vehicle which has not been the case with the previous crossovers. In which case they'd still need to tool a fully licensed Ford Explorer car shell either way.

Trailbreaker is the closest thing Hasbro currently has to a Ford Explorer.

If we're just asking for weird molds they can use for it, they could totally bring back Armada Red Alert. He's even closer to an Explorer:

Okay, for giggles I'm calling the long shot: Earthrise Ironhide/Ratchet heavily retooled into a Ford Explorer, with the portion that used to be their windshield becoming the hood of the truck. It would put the park logo on the upper chest instead of the gut (where it would be on Trailbreaker), and give the X-Over bot a riot shield with a window and spotlights, which would kind of remind me of the wacky gear from the original Kenner Jurassic Park line.

Jetfire => X-Spanse

Considering the amount of retooling and new parts that went into X-Panse, its hardly Jetfire anymore. May have just avoided that. no other mold has been used from there for anything else.

So far all of the X-Over figures have been heavy retools. I expect Rexy might have retooled dino & bot mode heads, and maybe an altered chest, but nothing as extreme as Ectotron. So I think it's within the realm of reason to think they might retool a movie SUV bot past the point of recognition.

Still calling Earthrise Ironhide, though.

The xmen crossover vehicle is based on a SS mold and that's a fact. The cad model was used as a basis and it shares parts and design aspects. What you consider or dont consider a retool has no consequence in this discussion. Ectotron is based on a CW mold. Gigawatt is based on a Siege mold. And the top gun was a new mold based on nothing. So there are 0 set rules here, definitely not enough to predict anything or set rules like saying stuff is off limits.

I wouldn't mind an ER Ironhide redeco as long as they do a better job than Siege to ER. His shoulders and feet sticking out in vehicle mode need to be addressed.

I just thought of something. Anyone remember that Walmart commercial for curbside pickup, full of iconic cars?

Bumblebee Camaro
Ecto 1
BttF Time Machine
Jurassic Park Bronco
KITT

IF the JP crossover is the bronco, it gives me hope KITT will be soon. I have a hard time believing the crossover will be a retool og BW Megs...how different could it be from T-Wrecks? All of the others have been really heavy retools of mainline releases...the "shell" is totally different. Making a t rex out of t rex almost seems too lazy for Hasbro.

Although, we are talking about Hasbro...

As stated above, KITT was going to be one of the first one but the deal fell through, so unless those talks revive, he's not happening I'm afraid. Also Megs is the one leakers have been speaking about for months...so looks to be a done deal in that regard.
