I was expecting to see shots of Orion Pax alongside Classics Voyager Optimus Prime (maybe the Classics Deluxe as well) and the original G1 Optimus Prime. Instead, shots alongside the unrelated FOC/Prime character. As the first original-mold Orion Pax figure, I am a bit disappointed.
Given the time between figures, I would also have thought a side-by-side of Gen Trailcutter with G1 Trailbreaker was also obvious and natural.

OK...

Time for my two cents for what they are worth

1)I WANT Orion Pax bought on site...looks cool, although a little more throw back to Orion Pax from G1 would've been cool. My one complaint on him is that he's supposed to be a CLERK/Librarian not a warrior...Just a little too ready for a fight ya know?

2) Trailbreaker...refuse to call him "Cutter" since I am not bound by copyright issues  Wicked cool alt mode...if I can get him cheap, cool, if not ehhh

3) Bumblebee...Cool alt mode, but I am good with my Generations Legends and Deluxe I have. In regard to the STARK YELLOW color? Unfortunately guys and gals I think that has to do with the cheap-ass plastic Hasbro is using. :HEADHURTS: Looks like it was poured out of the same batch as the Prime BB Dollar Store Nonformers... God I hate seeing those things.

4) Megs...Last but not least, he looks really cool, BUT why couldn't he be DARK GREY??? I don't need him to be G1 Silver, but come on, is dark grey too much to ask for?? :BANG_HEAD: Megs just IS NOT Black to me.

Was going to skip Orion Pax.

Looked at gallery pics.

Am now going to buy Orion Pax. That is all.

Saw Bee at Target. He is the only figure in the wave I have zero desire to own. I am hoping Megatron (the figure I want most) shows up soon. I am not sure on Pax, since he looks awesome, and I only marginally want Trailbreaker (probably getting Hoist instead).

This version of Orion Pax is a cop, not a clerk or a librarian. And he is ready for a fight. I think I actually like him as Pax better than Prime.

How do these compare to the Cyberverse legion figures?
are they closer to scout to voyager size?

Somewhere in between. Here's Orion Pax alongside Beast Hunters Commander Class and Voyager Class Optimus Prime.

I just picked up Pax today at Target. This is one the best figures I've purchased in long time. The word that comes to mind is satisfying. I like the bot which has great articulation and ball joint ankles and an awesome head sculpt, I like the alt mode, and I really like the weapons.

Just opened mine yesterday, and I must say, I'm disappointed. Orion's plateless face disgusted me. It just looks off. The face is just horrible. The comics, spotlight Orion pax, was bad. Artwork was terrible. Sorry. Megaton and trailblazer was ok. The size is what's killing me. They're so small, and expensive. If I can return them, I will. Feel bad doing it since I opened it. Plastic-wise, they're very light. Quality for these figures are not there. I'll still to masterpieces.

Technically, though the molds did originate from the Generations toyline, the only indication of which toyline the G2-decoed set was released in given by the packaging is the classic "Generation 2" toyline.

Which was enough for TFWiki to consider these toys of the G1/G2 Combaticon characters instead of the WFC/FOC/Aligned Combaticon characters. ;)

Thanks for the galleries. It turns out I've been mistransforming the arm mode for Vortex, so now it looks a lot better!

I'm tempted to pick up the Wreckers, but I don't think I like the molds that much.

Although by most standards the Takara set has the best color scheme, and i'd agree with anyone who said that. However, my personal favorite of the Brutici (Brticuses?)Is the horrible, 90's-tastic G2 set

They're Fall of Cybertron toys, as indicated by them being a game tie-in for the exclusive Amazon.com version of the game.

Because of these being in G2 packaging, these galleries all show up in the G2 gallery section as well as the Fall of Cybertron and Generations sections: http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/toys/series/g2/18/

Same here. That set is just crazy. The replica G2 packaging is amazing. I don't think replicating the exact style of old school packaging has been done before (minus some of the reissues but that doesn't really count since this is a new toy but done in 20 year old style packaging complete with new old school artwork). Kudos to Hasbro for going the extra mile for that set. I think that's the kind of thing that I'd love to see Fun Pub do for some future exclusives.

The amount of time and detail spent on the packaging is almost obscene. I dare say they spent at least as much time getting everything for the box art as they did producing the figure. I believe there was a statement at one of the cons where the FOC G2 set was announced, where they said they got one of the original artists who did the g1 and/or g2 box art's to do the gift set's art. :-?

I can confirm that's true, but I don't recall where they officially said it at. I think they said that at SDCC 2012. I thought it was in my interview with them at http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... oin/25465/ but apparently not, so they must have said it in the panel.

I really, really don't like any of these.

The only version worth having is the G2 version, and then only MISB. That box is fantastic and so very nostalgic. There seems to be more effort put into the G2 boy than the actual molds themselves.

Thanks Va'al!

I added a few pictures this morning to Hoist's gallery. I forgot to do some pics of Hoist with his buddy Grapple (*ahem* Solar Storm Grappel) so those pics were added early this morning. Enjoy!
