This is where pretenders stopped making sense.

You mean they ever made sense in the first place?

Do you man the bandage on his head? Because everything else seems normal. :P

Just a thought, but do Lego C-clips fit the 3mm posts? It could be easy enough to knock something up with the right pieces if that connection matches up.

Lego minifig hands grab right on like they were designed to.

Thanks to an ebay auction we now have robot-mode images of the upcoming BotCon exclusive Octopunch.
Octopunch is based on the G1 Pretender of the same name, as you can see he's based on the HFTD Seaspray mold, and does not feature a new head. Oh and do you notice how the faction symbol is red, which means he's Shattered Glass? Well, congrats to those who spotted that back with the first image we saw of him.
You can click any of the following images to get to the original auction.

I like that idea, but it wouldn't be expensive now would it? :P

Oh, he looks nice, but he's SG, so I'm not really interested.

No new head. Kind of disappointed, but the diving bell head would've been hard to pull off given the clearance restrictions of the mold.

I'm surprised it's shattered glass. The colours are fairly accurate to his G1 self.

Not as excited as I was when first seeing the mold, but he'll be a welcome addition to my collection nonetheless.

Ok, eating my words now.

You know, this makes Octopunch the second to keep his colors between his original continuity and Shattered Glass, the first being Jazz.

SG Octopunch: Friend to ducks everwhere.

This is really pathetic. I mean he looks barely any different from Seaspray. It looks like some lazy custom someone threw together in one night.

I think it looks good for a repaint with no remold. I would have liked a remold though. Better choice for Octopunch is still the PCC commander.

What about Galvatron, Astrotrain, Alpha Trion, Arcee, Rampage, Divebomb, Demolishor, Big Daddy, Drench, Fitor, Goryu, Sky Lynx, and Thunderwing?

Am I the only one here who's getting tired of shattered glass? One botcon of it was enough, lets move along now. I'd honestly be okay with an octopunch figure, even a straight repaint of seaspray, but why shattered glass? :(

I was excited... for this. Very much disappointed, will I ever find a decent Classics Octopunch someday?

Right, forgot about Megatron and Galvatron, but the repurposed toys I don't care about. Thundercracker's debatable, since G1 Thundercracker's mutated neon colors are SG Thundercracker's standard colors. Who wants to bet SG Thundercracker turns blue after the Forestonite treatments?

Did Octopunch have some strange rivalry with Quickswitch? Why does he have his colors :???:

*released the same year maybe?"

Rampage and Divebomb aren't repurposed toys.

And Goryu, Sky Lynx, and Thunderwing don't have toys.

Though, I also forgot to mention Ratchet.

If they wanted to do a Decepticon Pretender, I think Submarauder or Finback would've been better since they transformed into aquatic vehicles. There is nothing here in either mode that really connects to Octopunch.
