Brilliant! I am impressed with your TF collection. I don't have many collections but some of them are kept in my drawer.

Thanks, that's very kind of you. I only started collecting in Spring 2014. I got an idea of what would interest me from this forum, and more particularly this thread. I still have to post my animated, classics, alternators, RID, Energon/Armada, Movie, FOC/WFC, and Masterpiece collections. Animated and Classics will be quite an undertaking.

Brilliant collection. Though I am not that much into collecting TF figures but I have interest in how people are crazy about such figures.

And now for the begining in a series of posts about G1 figures and characters and how they have evolved using figures from my collection.

First up is Gnaw, aka Sharkticon. And here is the figure upgrading his form in an homage as Energon Sharkticon.

G1 Thrust and Gentai! Gentai! Thrust

G1 Topspin and DOTM Topspin (both are part of the Wreckers, so I totally see it as an evolution of the character)

I posed my transformers who were in scale with the Masterpiece figures. You will find below Masterpiece Optimus Prime (MP 10), Masterpiece Lambor / Sideswipe (MP 12), Masterpiece Wheeljack (MP 20), Alternators Hound, Alternators Tracks, Alternators Jazz and later Masterpiece Starscream (MP 03-G) and Masterpiece Megatron (MP 05).

Do you keep him as Predaking usually or split him up into his awesome beast modes? If you keep him together, I suggest you at least put the stickers on the wings and Razor Claw. They make a HUGE difference (this was Cobotron's advice). If you do split them up, as I do, then going sticker crazy is very rewarding. Also, in terms of value, I dont think the value changes whether he has stickers applied or not, once he's out of the box.

Looking at all these is making me jealous, everyone has the best transformers toys while I am stuck here with the tiny ones, non-transforming ones and broken ones. The only complex, transforming transformers toy I have is Tread Bolt, a transformer I know nothing about! (and it is broken)

Where does everybody get their transformer toys? I can only find (nowadays) the stupid Bayformers and Rescue Bots and I also can't find a single transforming G1 Megatron and I like Megatron...A LOT. Mainly because I live in Australia we don't get many transformers here and the reason I can't find Megatron is because he was banned in Australia for looking too much like a real gun!

Edit: Oh, wait. I just found out the Treadbolt I have is from the 2008 Universe Series, hm, that makes me kinda happier.

my predaking situation changed when i got the collection kingdom upgrade kit. he's still stickerless, and now i dont feel like touching him for any reason. hopefully there wont be a strong breeze coming through my house any time soon cause he could crumble at any minute #-o

I found a lot of my collection in local adds. Check out church bazaars and yard sales, as well as thrift shops that also have second hand toys, you could be surprised what you find. There are also good places on e-bay to get toys, you can PM me if you need more info. And your threadbolt is amazing! I have him too. And this will make you very happy, check out who's number 5.

It is funny how you misspelled Treadbolt, Threadbolt. At least I got one good transformer toy, but it is broken. =/

I am gonna PM you.

That kit is AMAZING and looks even better than the 3rd party Predaking, since this looks so much more magnificent and all empowering. However, I was not ready for that price tag, ouch (especially with exchange and shipping). Also, he seems to end up with two groins and I find that a bit odd, although the wings do distract me from that area ;)

G1 Evolution Whirl

I prefer the G1 version simply for it's awesome helicopter mold. I won't get too many vintage G1s since I can wait for a rerelease and not have to pay those high prices, but Whirl will never get rereleased so it was worth it (granted I did not pay too much since he was not in great shape).
