Reflector continues to get attention from the third party market. From TFC's
micro-blog, here's a computer image of their DSLR Camera Brothers. We've seen
prototype images of these guys before, but this image gives us an idea of what their color scheme may be. Very little is known about this project at this time.

Sexy. Not as accessorized as the one just coming out, but this is very nice looking. Hope they can pull off making it look like a real camera, that'd be pretty sweet.

As cool as this looks, it might be a pass me. If all of the effort is going into their camera mode, I don't really need a random camera sitting on my toy shelf :\

I would probably have sprung for the Perfect Effect set if it weren't for this project. I like how this is shaping up. The convincing alt mode is a huge plus as far as I'm concerned.
There's also something about the Perfect Effect aesthetic that just isn't very G1 to me: the figures seem like they're just bristling with munitions. That's not a bad thing in itself; the figures are quite good looking. But it doesn't fit with the G1 vibe.
This TFC set is consistent with the Classic (and derivatives) notion of reimagining G1 characters in more modern alternate forms. Though, I would like to see some transforming accessories for the TFC set: ideally both a flash and a lens.

Both the TFC and the Perfect Effect versions are great. I think I'll get them both.
However, right now, I'm liking the Perfect Effect version a little more. But it's also hard to compare without having BOTH products on hand.
Can't wait to see how TFC pulls this off. Looks very promising so far!

I can see what funklizard is saying with regards to Perfect Effect's set being heavily armed in comparison to the G1 originals, but then he lost me when he said he wants TFC's to come with transforming flash and lens. Surely whatever they transformed into wouldn't be particularly G1 or matching with the Classics vibe either. And at the end of the day they are only accessories; no one said you HAVE to use them.
My personal impression is that the near identical robot modes of Perfect Effect's set make them a good Classics set, while the very realistic camera mode and the ability to attach real accessories (if earlier prototype images are to be believed) of TFC's set puts them in line with the Device Label style of figures.

I'd have to agree with that, Device Label is a good call.
I like the detail in the camera mode for the TFC version, I hope it translates into plastic well. But having said that, the PerfectEffect one will do for me, as I feel it is a better representation of G1 Reflector. Both projects look great though, I think it just depends on your aesthetic preferences.

you know i dont think the fansproject verson has it but it would have been cool if one of these guys came with a mini camera that mp megatron or starscream could actully hold. like how mp prime comes with a megatron that he can hold

Why do people keep mistaking Perfect Effect for Fansproject.

This looks really cool too. I already pre-ordered the other one so I'll end up passing on this.

Non uniform scale of the three bots is a deal breaker.

Very, very nice. Reflector is a troop builder, so it's fine to have more than one, right? lol.
I already have the PE one on preorder, but this one is very tempting. Wish we had soem size comparisons and a price estimate, though.

I think ill stick with the perfect effect set. The 2 little robots with 1 big one is not my taste. And WTF does one have onslaught cannons on his back for ??? I could care less about large transforming weapons. Anything other than a small gun for each gets placed in my parts box.

I'm just not feeling this set I'm afraid. At one point I considered getting both and using them all as one big team, but now I'm not so sure...

the alt mode will be life size as it is able to use an actual camera lense. looking at his legs you can see where the lense dock is split, those are usually are approximately 2 inches across so i would place the whole figure at around 5-6 inches, slightly shorter for the other two.

I think the fact that they spent so much to make it a working camera ruins it for me. I don't like it when you sacrifice stuff on the robot mode to make the alt mode better. I'll save my final judgement until I see the finished product though.

Looks good. My PE version is on its way. I would consider buying this one aswell, if it had a functioning camera. Not a GREAT one either. A little gimmicky digital one. For good sakes the things are so cheap you can get one at Wal-Mart to put on your key chain for like 10 bucks.

So do these guys just put out all their ideas hoping iGear will eventually come along and steal the designs in order for product to actually see the light of day?

Same here. This one looks awesome, but I feel my PE version will go better with my collection.

Kibble, leave iGear out of this. If you are referring to 3rd party items that are similar but not the same, like the awful arcee that Impossible Toys put out and the arcee that iGear sold but did not create (but is still a way better arcee regardless of manufacturer) then I don't see a problem. In that situation a far superior product was made available to the public. If you are referring to the autoscout, nobody cares because the rest of the TF Club set is the reason they bought it. Your comment is trolling. Obviously. Certainly ruffled my feathers.
Back ON TOPIC!
In regards to the comments suggesting this will be a working camera, I don't remember reading that anywhere, the camera appears to accept real lenses but not all manufacturers (your nikons, canons, etc) make lenses that have the same docking ports (because they want you to by their brand exclusively). Furthermore, the transformation of Viewfinder, would not allow a camea to function in the way an SLR would.

Settle down, chief. It was a joke with a relevant point...and it obviously went over your head. The point is TFC sure has a lot of projects in the works, but we're still waiting for most of them to actually see release. How about rather than them just talking about all 763 projects they focus on actually getting some of them out? And I hope I don't have to explain the iGear part of the joke now...
Now go outside and have a smoke or whatever you need to do to calm down and I'll be here when you get back to listen to your apology.

Well I personally think this has nothing on Perfect Effect's. I don't think this version is gonna carry in many sales, from what Ive seen, Perfect Effect's is the more popular.
