For me, it was a relatively simple fix. I found it easiest to remove both lower legs first so as to get a better grip on the upper legs piece. Once those were out of the way, I got as best a grip on the piece in question as I could, and firmly but carefully pulled it free from the groin. Once that was done, it was simple matter of merely turning it around, clipping it back into place, and popping both lower legs back on.
