We've got some more big news out of the Hasbro Media Event, specifically the final results of the Power of The Prime fan vote! If you remember, the final four candidates in the vote were Ultra Magnus, Star Saber, Optimus Primal, and "Unknown Evil", also known as Deathsaurus, and now, thanks to an announcement at New York Toy Fair, we know that the winner is....





It's still unclear what this means for Transformers fiction or products, but it's presumed he'll get a new toy released sometime within the next two years.

Hasbro Masterpiece optimus primal release would be welcomed lol

I assume this just means they will bring his Masterpiece over for a US release. Besides Deathsaurus the 3 finalists all conveniently had recent masterpiece versions not released stateside yet.

Ahh. so the gorilla won the fan vote, this will do nicely yeeessssss, I can see how this will go, we should of expected it after the Hall of fame winners being Beast wars allumini, noooooo it would be foolish to expect any other result like i did,

I swear after seeing the matrix like design in his Air attack Optimus primal body, I thought he had the matrix of leadership already

He might also have been saying that Primal was in the 'chaos' category and chaos=bad. But his 'chaos' reason was 'sometimes crazy works' so I think we'll all be good

I think they were referring to how he was in the "Chaos" category. But I didn't that as him being evil more like he's got a few screws lose, in a good way. But they can make him plenty cooky, that was one of the main draws for me.

Yeah, I think that was their attempt to show how Chaos doesn't necessarily equal bad. I kind of like the idea from a narrative perspective of showing that actually; that Chaos is a natural part of life and who we are and there's no problem exploring and using it as long as a degree of control is kept in check and counterbalance.

Well - I thought they might have learned their lesson after that horrible Optimus Primal 'Platinum Edition'...

This vote was rigged, there's no way Primal would have won over the others, he's not that great of a character.
