What other tfs have been released that have been incomplete?

There is a few that are missing guns and what nots and it's open to interpretation but Takara can be just as bad like with RID/Car Robots Fort Max/Beast Wars Neo Trypticon not having all their accessories, but one of Hasbros oddest incomplete figure releases was the exclusive show accurate beast wars primal/megatron, where megatron had a part removed that made it floppy in robot mode. Just dont let them near load bearing walls and all should be fine.

What release was that? I wasn't aware Hasbro had done such a release. And what was missing?

10th anniversary Primal/Megatron toys r us exclusive set, a part in Megatrons torso cavity that helps the dino parts lock securely in to place, was removed.

It could be just a wide production error. Like for Universe Onslaught with his siren that only go with a single "woop".

That sounds like a QC issue. Do you have a link to details?

I bought that 2-pack when it came out and never transformed Megatron until a couple of years ago. He's solid as a rock, all his parts lock in place without a problem.

Definitely sounds like a defect. I bought mine at TRU back in the day and never had an issue with it. There's no mention of this missing part on TFWiki for either the Takara or Hasbro versions.

Really the only case of Hasbro removing something integral to a figure is MP Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime since you can't form RP's alt mode without it. You could possibly make an argument for Hasbro not including a second gun with Titan Metroplex or Fort Max not having the sword at retail. But Hasbro has a better record of including nice extras with their collectibles like the extra tapes with MP Soundwave (not to mention reissue SW and Blaster) or their 25th Anniversary MP-1 with the Hasbro-original sound base (Takara Tomy would get their own version later). The new reissue Starscream didn't have to include a Megatron Gun, but it did.

If he thought that was an issue that affected all of this set, maybe it was because it was the first batch produced or something. Anyone else over here had such a QC issue at the time?

2017 was QC catastrophe for my Transformers but I never thought every single one of them had the same defects, or a feature was "removed".
2018 was MUCH better QC wise. I didn't bought as much transformers as last year, but I had NO QC issues in any of my transformers. That's what I can call a nice improvement over the 10 or so incidents I had back in 2017.

There was videos around at the time, cant seem to find any now although the back kibble not locking is mentioned in a few, Could just have been a QC issue on the first batch. Sadly I sold mine and when the buyer complained - I had never transformed it, which is something I now do with all my tfs, found videos saying the same thing was a known issue with the figure and compared it to the orig as well otherwise I would have been oblivious to it.

Must be a first batch thing.
It would not have been the first time and it will certainly never be the last.

After some lengthy searching, I've finally found the original news post regarding BW10 TRU Megatron's production error - https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/hasbros-10th-anniversary-beast-wars-2pack-megatron/8581/

Unfortunately, the thread that it linked to with the details is long gone, what with every thread from before 2007 having disappeared from the site. Even using Wayback bore no fruit in my finding.

Luckily, I do have a decent memory of which part was reportedly missing. It was some sort of black ring-like piece that is supposed to be inside Megatron's torso that was missing.

Nice, I'll be wanting one just for Buzzsaw but I won't pay more than I did for the other Soundwave reissues so it may be a long while before getting him.

First Look at G1 Soundwave and Buzzsaw Reissue

Thanks to fellow eagle eyed Seibertron users, Sabrblade and Nathaniel Prime, and the folks over at In Demand Toys, we have our first look at a reissue of G1 Soundwave and Buzzsaw! The pictures come from In Demand Toys Facebook page, and show Soundwave in packing.

One thing to notice is that this is the single door version. While Hasbro have not made any comments about this reveal yet, it is likely that this will be the next release in the Walmart reissue series, along with the already leaked trailer less G1 Optimus Prime.

What do you think of this reissue? Will you be on the hunt for him? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews.

"Does not record or play cassettes..." ..gotta love the times we are living in ;) .

...and before anyone chimes in, yes I know there was a working transformable cassette Tape Player in Japan, but still, as kids we did not need disclaimers to know these products did not actually function in a *real world* capacity, nor did they move, talk, or transform on their own.
