I just can't get into this new scream mold, it just seems like such a downgrade to me; might get skywarp if it's a mainline release this time round, as that was the only classics seekers mold I ever got

I kept hoping people were simply not being careful enough with the transformation. :(

All it took was a thumbnail of a video review. It showed it hooked in properly, and it still had the gaps.

I'm still interested in the new Seeker mold even with the gap. To me, it's essentially "The Classics Seeker mold but more the size it should have been", so as far as an Earth Mode toy for them I can't really complain too much. Especially since A. it lends itself well to the Coneheads and B. It's a Voyager Earth-mode G1 Seeker mold without the chunk of PotP Starscream.

Honestly, that gap between the chest ducts and the intakes is pretty tiny, looking at the photo. It'll probably look more like a molded recess in hand. And the torso side gaps look to be more covered than they are on the Classics Deluxe mold. Another plus compared to the Classics figure is that the face is actually covered in jet mode.

The only real downgrade compared to the SIEGE Seekers is the lack of waist rotation, but that's a minor hit for how nice he is overall. Especially since the feet on this mold look like they'll actually work reliably with the C.O.M.B.A.T. system. Which is NOT the case with the SIEGE Seekers, thanks to a combination of the toe and heel pieces getting in the way, and mold issues preventing the engine halves from closing up properly (which leaves the sockets too loose to hold pegs). :BANG_HEAD:

Just half of the Throttlebots, and one was already made (Chase aka Roadburn).

Transformers Earthrise Leaders Found in Canada

We have news that Transformers Earthrise leader class Optimus Prime and Astrtotrain have been found at Canadian retail. Primetyme from Cybertron.ca found them in Ontario and provided pictures. Fans report having seen them at both Toysrus and Walmart. They were priced at $69.99. For those wondering, Earthrise Astrotrain is identical to Siege Astrotrain, right down to the dirt effects.

If you have found them, share your sightings with our community in the sightings section and on our boards in your region related thread.

Most of this line has been found in the US aside from the Battle Master class, so if you find that please let us know. And if any international members find the Earthrise figures, let us know.

Based on what I've seen from video reviews, Earthrise Screamer actually has a lot less articulation than the Siege mold. No waist articulation, no wrist articulation, no forward/backward ankle tilts, no double-jointed elbows, far less range in his knees, and even less articulated wings. And while it's not really fair to compare articulation with the Siege seekers (which is the most articulated mass-release voyager mold I've ever seen), the lack of waist and wrist articulation puts ER Screamer behind the standard set by the rest of the voyagers from Siege and Earthrise.

Am I wrong for having no interest at all for the new seekers. The only two who I care about personality wise is Skywarp and Thundercracker, so I don't see myself picking up figures with less articulation and a boring alt-mode. No offense to those who love the F-15 Eagle design but I just find a plane jet boring.

You're the best at collecting and we should all learn from this wisdom.

Has anyone bought both and taken pics? Honest question. I never trust a repack to be only a repack until it's proven to be.

For the Battle Masters, see Counterpunch's post on the previous page.

I don't have both, only the Siege version, but comparing that to the photo Will posted, they look to be completely identical, down to the plastic tie going through both of his fist holes.

I'm on the fence personally. I ordered mine with the Hasbro Pulse black Friday 20% off coupon, and that is probably the only thing that is keeping me from cancelling it. I love the Siege version, and I've gotten myself to a point where I don't want that many repeats of the same characters, and don't really care about a faithful G1 altmode. So I may very well end up cancelling by the end of the month before he ships.

Besides, we are certain to get repaints of other seekers, so I'll still get to enjoy the mold assuming we get some seekers that weren't part of Siege.

Plus, now that I see how much of a discount you can get if you play the waiting game with Amazon and Walmart, I'm actually thinking that may end up being a better deal than Pulse, and if I miss out, ho Well, I already have a Screamer that I love.

Yep, just talked myself into cancelling on Pulse.

Tuned, a lack of waist swivel is sadly the price of putting the G1 Seeker design in a retail toy because of where things end up. I also don't see how you can call the wings less articulated when they A. still rotate and B. have that hinge in the middle. And the tradeoff for losing the unified back-and-forth ankle tilts is having more functional sideways ankle tilts (which are more important, for my money. Especially with the C.O.M.B.A.T. system.)

I'm excited for what Earthrise offers and hopeful for a "submarine" Leader Megatron to go with Optimus. I just have misgivings about the timing considering the distribution problems with SIEGE in my area.

Also at least Earthrise Starscream can't be seperated from his alt mode the same way you can with the Siege Seeker mold ;)

As ZeldaTheSwordsman pointed out, the articulation is the way it is because of the more involved transformation, so its a trade off.

Yeah, given the way his arms transform there was really no way to implement a waist swivel. And again, if Siege Starscream is the standard we hold all figures to (articulation wise), we will be disappointed 99% of the time. Earthrise Screamer hits all the important articulation points, even if he doesn't have some of the "gravy" ones. And on the flip side, his alt mode is definitely superior to the Siege mold, it's one of the best jet modes we've ever gotten.

And what I meant about the wings is that the ER mold can't angle its wings up in robot mode like the Siege mold can. Very minor nitpick that I only bring up because that's how I like to pose the Siegekers.

So the answer is "no" then, got it. I mean, yes a straight repack appears to be the intention and 99% likely to actually be the case, but hearing assumptions like that thrown around as fact for years on some Superlink and Galaxy Force items that were merely very similar but not identical after all scarred me.
