It suits him incredibly well. Though I am used to him being sort of skinny like in the IDW comics.

No TFs at the thrift shop but I found this at our Library's book sale for a buck!

I found whatever this garbage is at the store. 2004 is over and Yu-Gi-Oh! Rip offs were never cool. (Ok let's face it they are ripping off Bakugan but Bakugan is a Yugi/Poke/DBZ ripoff :-P )

TF's ripped off Bakugan with those RiD Cyclone Mini-Cons

I've seen those Mecard figures by Mattel at Target, and wasn't too tempted. I can see the appeal in those spring-loaded figures (that are more car kibble than anything else) though, but deep down they're like any TCG.

Yeah but the fact is with TGC's is you need someone to play with. I don't know a soul who plays that and I am sure no card shop supports it so it's gonna go defunct like most TGCs besides Magic.

Makes me wonder how this is gonna turn out. There is a fanbase for it and I know I can always play at TF conventions or with friends.

I'm really surprised those are still on the shelves considering Mattel is being sued by Spin Master over them, a suit they'll probably win. Spin Master contested that they're too similar to the Bakugan line which they own the rights to and already won one law suit that blocked them from being imported into the US by stores from Sonokong (the Korean company that used to sell Transformers in Asia and also had the Bakugan license). Either Mattel didn't know about the suit or they chose to ignore it, but they're being taken to court over them and that's really the last thing they need right now on top of their current financial woes.

I find Screechers Wild look better anyway (even if they look like animals on skateboards).

That could also be why they are on sale for 14.99. I don't know who would pay that price either.

So my thirft store was a Transformers graveyard today. It was like I could see the remains of a cybertronian battle with all the fallen combatants with missing limbs and such. Not great

I was wondering what this was though, its a Hasbro product but i dont know from what.

Image

And also, what are these? Someone had donated their entire collection (there were heaps of it). Probably not worth anything but I was still very curious as to what they were.

I'm in Malaysia on business and was hoping since they are pretty close to Singapore that I might find some wave 3 PotPie goodness. Nope, instead I found a shelf warming graveyard, at ridiculous prices to boot.

CW Leader Armada Megs
CW Leader Thundercracker
CW Legends Groove
CW Voyager Silverbolt
Platinum Blitzwing and Astrotrain
Platinum Insecticons
Platinum Coneheads
TLK Berzerker, about 30 across 3 different stores

The local TRU also had about 4-5 Chaos on Velocitron sets at about $160 after converting the currency.

A couple stores did have wave 1 PotP, so they aren't completely in the past here.

When I arrived at Kuala Lumpur Airport Tuesday, I did notice that the toy store where I got Takara Slipstream a couple years ago re-opened, but I didn't have time to check it out, had to get through immigration. They had been closed on my last 2 trips here. I'm cautiously optimistic that I may find something good there.

I usually find random tumbleweeds on my TF Hunt. The thrill is gone, baby.

No wait... I actually purchased Studio Series Prime Rib and Starscream, which are quality figures actually. Then, like yesterday I wimped out and grabbed a Power Surge Optimus Prime warrior class. Kinda pedestrian, but decent. Power Surge was a weird purchase for me, as I've kinda never been into the Prime stuff. Basically, I was born in the mid 70's, so everything in my mind is all based around Gobots, Diaclone + G1. Oh well. I could fight change, or embrace it.

Look closely at the Voyagers.
Why is Grimlock in Elita-1's box? :-?

Wow! That question just really came out way more wrong than I intended.

Toy Swap most likely. Doesn't just happen in the US.

A better question is why Bludgeon is still hanging there. He should have been scalped a long time ago.

Walmart was in shambles, but all the right stuff was there. Plus the thrift store had that Movie 1 voyager Optimus in that grey deco. It looked terrible.

Went to Walmart and my thrift store today. Walmart was baren except for the newest releases, go figure. So I now have all my terrorcons.

As for the thrift store, a 90s kid's mom must have dumped all his toys since there was a bunch of stuff from the same couple of years. Got Best Wars Cheetor, with Gut Gun (no tail though). The other beast wars figures were in bad shape. No one should be jealous of these thrift store finds since they are worthless. Either missing, limbs, wings or half their body (as was the case for TM Megatron).

Spotted this at Big Lots.

20180817_154350.jpg

Season 2 volume 2 if I remember right. They had a bunch of random volumes of various Shout Factory DVDs, but no volume 1 of anything.

They also had these massive dragon skeletons for Halloween. This one is over six feet long, but there's a smaller one you can almost see behind it. There's a motion sensor in the nose and it's head movies, eyes light up, and makes screeching noises. I want one of these for my living room!

150!?! ****, you can get a titan class figure for that.

That dragon is all kinds of awesome though.

I'll have to swing by a big lots now and look for those discs.

I've been to a few of those thrift stores that have bagged toys on my travels. Every TF if found has not only been incomplete, but the figure itself wasn't even complete. Normally they're just a quarter to half a figure in a bag with some unrelated stuff.

I don't even wast my time anymore. The best option I've found for cheap figures are salvage stores. The kind that get unsold clearance items, damaged boxes and returns.

I dont think I have any salvage stores in my area. I go to thrift shops in hope to find g1 minibots. And while its not like I find theme very month, I have amassed quite a few smaller G1 bots here and there like Seaspray, Tailgate, G1 Swindle and Dragstrip and lots of Go Bots too.
