better looking that i'd have thought. however i still think it would make a better megatron since he's had both tank and plane modes. would have needed a detachable arm canon and a bucket head...

It just dawned on me what the possible logic behind this might be:

Starscream's ghost possessing Blitzwing.

Because Blitzwing was originally supposed to be the main character in that episode before Flint Dille revised it. (And in an interview, he admitted that he ruined Megeen McLaughlin's story due to running out of time)

Not sure if the original script ever surfaced, or if there would've been any reason for Starscream to possess anyone besides Cyclonus, but a new micro-continuity is a new opportunity to homage more 'What-If's of TF history, yes?

Maybe going out on a limb, but it's something.

For some reason this gives me the vibe of that old Leader-1 model kit made from an Alpha Veritech.
It just mixes things in an odd way.
Not a BAD way, mind you, just odd.

Now that Brawn from Bulkhead is still all kinds of fail.

That Starscream repaint looks slick. The deco works very well in all three modes too. Well done, Takara! I'm glad the cancelled GDO Generations Brawn will still see a release, although with a revised deco (that will probably look better, or at least more G1 accurate than the GDO version originally proposed). I'm glad I bit the bullet and ordered Optimus Prime and Megatron from TFCC a few months ago. I may just have to get the entire Transformers: Cloud subline if the second half of the offerings are at least just as inspired.

a thought occurs to me, this is Takara Toy Bio continuity right? the continuity wherin the Quintessons have built Guiltaur and Overcharge drones yes? who's to say that Screamer hasn't possessed an Overcharge?

I'm all for Brawn, might even consider giving him a shot.

But Starscream... I don't know what to think of him. Why they would use the Blitzwing/Doubledealer mold with MP Seeker null-rays is beyond me. I don't hate it, but, as a Starscream nut, it definitely doesn't look right.

Nope, Cloud is an all new continuity altogether. It's similar to TFCC's TransTech one, down to designations for alternate timelines. It limits itself to the G1 and BW cartoons (or Primax alpha streams for you TransTech nuts) for now however.

....and here's Brawn! The Transformers Cloud info has been coming fast and furious over the past 24 hours. Just last night e-Hobby announced wave two would feature Starscream and Brawn. Starscream coming from the Transformers Generations Voyager Doubledealer and Brawn being the previously cancelled GDO Voyager Brawn, a redeco/retool of Transformers Prime First Edition Bulkhead. Then earlier today we got our first actual toy image of TFC-D02 Starscream. Now we have our first toy image of TFC-A02 Brawn! This image also gives us a nice good look at their faces.

TFC-D02 Starscream will be available through e-Hobby and TFC-A02 Brawn will be available through the TakaraTomy Mall. Pre-order will open on the 24th.

Check him out below:

Or... maybe just the "chest cockpit"/"wings on back"/"fighter jet altmode" combo clicked it to mind. :-B

Now that we finally get to see Brawn, now I'm not feeling him as much. I guess it's because the torso looks... bulky (Swear to God, Sabrblade. You better not do it.). Head is spot on, so I will give him that.

I'll wait until we get some in-hand images.

Can't say I'm all that interested in this. If this is how they're introducing the GDO Voyager molds in Japan, I'm curious to see what the others will look like.

I can see it now: GDO Hot Spot as IDW Pyro (which... actually wouldn't be a bad idea).

Many people do wish that the Hot Spot tooling had existed at the time that BotCon 2010 had its Pryo figure. ;)

Brawn's proportions are terrible.

On Starscream: I can't believe it. Takara took a terrible mold...

...and made it even crappier!
