This is a really good call-out, because I read an investor note with a "sell" recommendation, and they specifically said they were negative because fansite crybabies don't like the looks of Hasbro's kids' media tie-in products. You should have a CNBC show, I can recommend a production contact if you're interested.
Cry-babies? Hahahaha get a life... look, I've been a collector for about 40 years now, and have close to 4,500 Transformers... if you can say the same, or even close to, I might listen to your opinion about these, but I get the feeling you can't. If you think these ROTB toys are good, you might want to look into go-bots instead, because Transformers are more than you deserve.

No amount of owned transformers or years collecting gives you any business telling anyone else what they do and don't deserve. If all you're gonna do in this discussion is b!tch and moan might as well stick to the toyline discussions that you actually like

What the hell is wrong with Gobots? They are way better than some of the stuff Hasbro was putting out at the time, like Throttlebots. And I have around the same amount of TFs as you (though I am including my Gobots). If you want to keep up, you'll have to buy these ROTB toys ;)

Everyone can speak, but only those with thousands of toys have authority, got it. I apologize for implying you were a crybaby, and I will go a step further and never engage with your posts again.

Somehow, I doubt it. Most of that will likely be in a discount bin or an Ollie's at less than half it's original price.

And you know this how? :-? Most liquidators I've seen don't carry that much, really, and even then only later waves.

For the record, if they sell, obviously people and kids are enjoying them. So let them. :D Me, eh... haven't bought anything Movie except for the Constructicons, missing Overload and Skipjack.

Personal observation. The majority of TF's that ever show up here are from the kid's lines as opposed to the collector's lines, and they never move until the bulk of them disappear at once. I admit I've never been there when they go, so I am making the bold assumption that roving bands of 6 year olds flush with grandma money aren't forming raiding parties in Walmart's toy isle.

Every device can already fill in the blank space if a video doesn't fit the screen, so why are they trying to force the issue?

Just so we have all the facts, these videos are not from Hasbro directly. These are vertical uploads of transformation videos uploaded by the Cybertron 21 facebook page. It makes them easier to share. Their original format, not on youtube, would not have bene verticle.

Stores will flush out toys to get rid of them for room, for sure. But just because you constantly saw kids toys, it doesn't mean it was always the same and none ever sold. With Cyberverse, the same toys were rereleased 5 times in slightly different packaging, so that big wall of kids' toys was always being refreshed throughout the tenure of the toyline. Only the later waves made it to ollies and such, while a majority sold at the primary market. Not just that, but the bulk of sales is only at one month in the year, so odds are sales appear stagnant when it' just the standard cycle.

Hey genius, you can have opposing views in a conversation without being a d!ck about it. Agree to disagree or whatever, But telling people they don't deserve to collect because they disagree with you is pretty stupid. And you wanna talk about silencing others.

There's nothing "wrong" with GoBots. I actually have many of mine from childhood, and still enjoy them. The difference is with quality of materials and intricacy of transformation. The Transformers are just far superior in both aspects.
Impressive collection! :D I don't know if I can convince myself to buy these though... maybe on deep discount?

Hey genius, when you have one person insinuating that you're a crybaby, and another telling you that you're bitching and moaning, it puts a person on the defensive (a.k.a. being a d!ck")... adjust how you approach people, and you might get a different result. With that being said, do you have anything constructive to add to the conversation, or do you only jump in to try and shut others down?

OK folks, time to put a cap in that conversation.

Gatekeeping by saying your opinion means more based on the amount of time you've been collecting or the number of bots you own is offputting and just plain rude.

Remember just because you hate something with this kind of vitriol does not mean others cannot enjoy it. there are many tastes, none of them are wrong.

But you should not be an asshole about it either. And that is what I am seeing, and what I am formally stopping now. Next comment along the lines will not be so nice.

Everyone needs to calm the hell down. Several of us don't like what we see, won't be buying, and predict poor sales. Others think they're looking at the best thing since Beanie Babies and can't wait to burn the rent money on all they can get their hands on. I, as a member of the former group, hope all the members of the latter group experience all the joy your hearts can handle on those figures. Maybe if enough of these things sell, the brand won't die off like it did before.

You have the right to go to a seafood forum and tell that "seafood taste awful and if you eat shellfish, you'll go to Hell."
But you have to expect and accept that people will respond to you in a very negative way.

Please stop clutching your pearls.

I've been a Transformers fan since I was watching homemade VHSs rented from Popingo Video and TFTM from the back of the grocery store. I have a room mainly filled with Transformers on display or in storage, plus overflow into the next room, after having sold a couple thousand dollars worth of my collection to make room.

You weren't acting "defensive"; you were acting badly and you're calling it "being defensive" in order to deflect the responsibility for your own actions onto others.

With that being said, a crocodile that turns into a 5mm compatible shotgun is worth $6 in my book. I think I spent more than that on a 3D printed Corgi/Missile Launcher, and I still haven't gotten him painted. (What color???)

I'm excited for the crocodile shotgun as well, and thats probably it other than airazor. Just wondering who I wanna pair the shotgun with. Maybe Mutant tigatron?

With bengal tigers having an affinity for water, that does make sense.

Oh man these are utterly ridiculous and I love it. A monkey that turns into a robot, wearing a crocodile and firing at bad guys with a rhino's butt? I wish these came out when I was a kid because I'd have gone crazy for them.

I'll definitely pick a few of them up as presents for various families with kids.

Look, in your case, if it's just about keeping up with product, then yeah deep discount is the way to go. I'm sure some will be heavily discounted next year, or in a bit more than that when what's left ends up at a liquidator. For some reason, I don't remember that happening with The Last Knight or the Bumblebee film, but my memory is hazy. Aside from that cute croc and Rhinox, these arent must haves for me either but my son likes them so I will end up with quite a few.

Speaking of my collection, it's mostly in tubs, so I never really see how large it is. But I went to a collector store today, the kind which buys a bunch of loose and MISB items from collectors who want to sell their whole collection at once and there was practically nothing they had that I didn't have (I was missing some accessories though). And this store was packed with product. That's when I realized how my house would look if I actually displayed all my figures.

Back to Gobots, yes when comparing all of gobots to all of transformers it's a no contest since you have the likes of Jetfire, the Dinobots, Whirl, Scorponok, Fort Max, Sky Lynx, Omega Supreme ect. But some Gobots fare way better than a bulk of G1, and they have this extra novelty factor. I don't know if I'm the only one but I preffer Pathfinder to Cosmos. And there is something really wholesome about Loco. It's just such a smart and simple design. I do preffer them to all the low budget G1 tf toys (like Throttlebots, minispys, ect), and even to the G1.5 toys we got like the Turbomasters.

First Look at Rise of the Beasts Voyager Class Rhinox and Optimus Prime + Taiwan Sighting

PostPosted: Sat Feb 04, 2023 1:11 am

This must have been fun for a Taiwanese fan. Both voyager class Rhinox and Optimus Prime were found for sale in Taiwan and the pictures of this sighting were uploaded to Facebook. These are NOT part of the studio Series line but rather part of the mainline which we've been seeing a lot of lately. Some of the previous toys we saw pulled from previous toys, do you think it's the same for Rhinox? And how about Optimus, does this look like a fully new mold to you? While Hasbro revealed several Rise of the Beasts toys lately, we are still missing a big chunk including the previously leaked deluxe class figures and these voyager class figures, which should be released at retail all at the same time.

Hard to tell if those Rhinox and Optimus are 100% new molds with 100% new or shared engineering, or repaints with slight remolding. :-?

Honestly, I think both of these are new molds.

But HOLY ****, look at those legs on Rhinox, it looks like on hell of a complex series of folding panels onto one another.
