You know what I love about Rescue Bots? They arent afraid to say "Let's make Heatwave a water bomber". They arent ashamed ti make a cool vehicle transformer and I wish Generations could be that unapologetic, or at least within reason

New Rescue Bots Styled Transformers Toys Coming Soon Including Optimus Primal and Grimlock

While the Rescue Bots show is over, there is still a big market for these style of toys and Hasbro wants to have a stable stream of product alongside Imaginext toys in the toddler toy aisle. So Hasbro is releasing more Rescue Bots type product under the Classic Heroes Team banner and you can see them below. The Optimus prime and Bumblebee are repacks, but the Grimlock and Optimus Primal are new. This is surprising since the previous rescue bots Optimus Primal was an Optimus Prime which turned into a T-Rex, and so we'd assumed this would be a reissue of that rather than a brand new mold. This is sure to be fun for young kids, who can play with these starting at 2 years old (despite what the recommended age states).

That Grimlock looks like a potato, but that Primal intrigue me. :-?
I may buy him out of curiosity.

Gorilla eyes peeking up ominously over Primal's chest plate is a cool effect.

My 4 year old wants that Primal so bad. I think he's too old for it though.

You should know, like all of us, that "too old for a toy" (any toy) is a fallacy. ;)

They're rated 3+, if 4 is too old that isn't much of an age range. ;)

You know what guys? Since the listings say the next movie toys are meant to be out in April and most are for younger kids and Primal is in most classes, my first thought when I saw a pic of that Primal toy on Facebook was "HOLY ****, ROTB TOYS HAVE LEAKED!".

That was definitely my first thought when I saw the thumbnail here. I'm sure there's a connection to the movie just like I'm sure there is with Kingdom and Beast Wars reissues coming out ahead of the movie, I don't really buy the anniversary excuse. Remember that we got the earlier G1 reissues at Walmart because Hasbro wanted to get 80s toys into stores in time for the first 80s based Bumblebee movie. Here we are again getting a bunch of Beast Wars characters into stores in time for a Beast Wars heavy movie.

Yeah, the rescue bots line has been promoting/linked to whatever media hasbro wants it to promote lately, with the Rescue Bots show over. So last year, there was a big emphasis on Dinobots in the Cyberverse toyline and media, so Rescue Bots offered similar characters for th younger age segment. And this would be the same with ROTB, where the only character in that set not in ROTB being Grimlock.

With a name like "Classic Heroes Team", I get the feeling that this is supposed to be something like the preschool equivalent of Classics/Universe/pre-CW Generations, or even just Legacy. That these are just the classic characters we all know and love instead of specifically the Aligned versions (plus a brand new Aligned Optimus Primal) that everything from Rescue Bots/Academy/Dinobot Adventures have been up to this point.

I know I am waaaaay late to the game to find the G1 repainted little Sludge/Snarl/Swoop/Slag, but I can't even find them on ebay or any other online store. Was it THAT limited a production?

I know I'm waaaay late to the party, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen the little g1 dinos being sold through ebay or anything? Don't know how I missed em last year, course my walmart was in a bad slump. Thanks.

They didn't really show up at Walmart. Instead they were found at Kroger's I think. And yeah, hard to find on e-bay. I am selling two of them but I'm in Canada so shipping would be ridiculous.

New Transformers Rescue Bots Optimus Primal and Grimlock found at US Retail

We have news that new Transformers Rescue Bots Grimlock and Optimus Primal have been found at US retail. Vector Oracle found them at a Macy's in California. These are both new molds and it is the first Rescue Bots Grimlock to transform from a T-rex into a robot. This is good news as the Rescue Bots line has always been popular with very young kids and is always in demand.

If you have found them, share your sightings with our community in the sightings section and on our boards in your region related thread.

Classic Heroes Grimlock and Optimus Primal Toys Available on Amazon + Video Review of Primal

Without a show airing now, the Rescue Bots toyline has become the Transformers Classic Heroes line. Same idea, same place in stores, and same molds for many of them (through rereleases) but Optimus Primal and Grimlock are new molds and the latest releases. If you want them in your Rescue Bots collection or as perfect presents for the youngest transformers fans (it is how I got my kid into Transformers), they are now available on Amazon. The links are below. We also have a review from Chuckdawg1999 of Optimus Primal so you can see how this guy looks in hand. The attention of detail and call backs for a "Rescue Bots" toy goes beyond that of previous figures, but then again this is the first mold which refers to a character that was not on the show and thus does not have a simplified animation model.

Grimlock https://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Cla ... 14&sr=8-46

Optimus Primal https://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Cla ... 100&sr=8-3

chuckdawg1999 wrote:It's nice to see Beast Wars being represented in Rescue Bots with Optimus Primal being a part of the Classic Heroes line, kinda hard to swallow that a character that debuted in the 90s is now considered classic. Transformation is what you would expect and the styling is of that soft, younger style, I love the grin on the gorilla head. Optimus Primal is perfect for smaller hands, or as a desk toy for older Beast Wars fans.

That Primal may be just a one-step brick, but it looks great and will be a fun desk toy to mess around with.

If I see it in store and it's not 30$+, I'd buy it. :APPLAUSE:
