This will either be good or bad news to Masterpiece Transformers completionists: BAPE has revealed a new exclusive Masterpiece Optimus (MP 10) toy.

This is the second time this happens and while the first was green with their trendy camo detailing, this version is red with camo detailing. For those not in the know, BAPE (aka A Bathing Ape) is a Japanese clothing line who's logo takes inspiration from Planet of the Apes. You can see this logo in silver below on the side of the cab.

Due to their exclusivity, these are usually very expensive editions. So, does this interest you guys? Anyone sure to hunt it down?

I'm just not a fan of sponsored redecoes like this, especially if the sponsor has no relevance to me. The one item that got closest to piquing my interest was the Calvin Johnson Megatron, only because I happen to be from Detroit and (sigh) a Lions fan, but I'd rather spend my money completing my roster of characters, not adding duplicates in weird colors.

W for the grey verison and Pepsi Prime lol its probably will happen. Grey I would supsect to be coming because if we are getting the green and red its highly unlike they wouldn't release the grey verison.

And the ID is MP-10R, with "R" standing for "Red".

Eh, not that much different, just the blue replaced with a darker red.

The torso could be a different shade of red.

Cool enough looking figure but that orange axe weapon looks awful IMO.
There's a local Bape store near me, maybe I'll pick it up?

Well, yea. Except for green Bape Convoy. By the time he was $400, he was too expensive. Now he's 2x that minimum.

Already is, as of yesterday. Available through the 10th on a lottery system at one "pop-up" BAPE store. Works out to about $160, but already on Yahoo Japan for $600-ish. Given that...
