Loved seeing Ironhidensh's thoughts -- I will most likely pull the trigger on his reissue today.

It's been a month and I still can't get the stupid plug out of the barrel.

Jeez louise! I answered zodconvoy's inquiry on the what's the deal 8-}

If it isn't the price point (too expensive etc) it's something else (item off color, not anime accurate, not toy accurate, paint chipping off by just looking at it etc). That's the deal!

I didn't call him (zodconvoy) a complainer.

For the price point. These products are just for overgrown man children with too much disposable income in their hands. I don't think we have the right to complain given that a certain company plays upon our sense of nostalgia to get as much blood from our wallets.

If R and D and the primary cost (coupled with the materials used, franchising fees, packaging and distribution) have gone up then you have but two options. Buy or not buy.

Never heard 3rd company adopters complaining about the price.

".......paint chipping off just out of the box........"

Except that you kinda did.

Seriously, any idea how to get this thing out? It's like they crazy glued it in.

 Gomenasai if it came out that way. Better rewording in responding in the future then. It should have been, "the deal is, people will complain about everything......."

No malice intended zodconvoy.

On Megs again, which company did you order them from? Why not ask them what glue they used? Is it glue or just friction based or both?

It's okay, Fen. We've both been around too long without any problems to
start one now. I got one of the December restocks from BBTS. It will not budge. It feels glued in and I don't want to run the risk of pulling the whole barrel off.

You gave BBTS a call(email) on how to get the plug off? Maybe they can "help" you?

Well ... next week for me. Megatron and Friends cost just under $400AU this week. Then with all their other Friends that are waiting in the private warehouse, shipping was going to be nearly $100AU. Going to wait a week.

I've waited nearly a year and dealt with PC's ****, I think I can wait a little bit longer.

Mine's also coming sometime in the next couple of weeks, Burn -- I have other Friends incoming as well....but Megz-36 is #1 on my Must Have list. I haven't seen any real reviews of the reissue, but all I know is that I need one.

You wont see reviews of the reissue. Since they are usually just straight reissues and newer releases get much more hits, youtubers and reviewers dont cover them (plus its expensive to have 2 to compare for what should be the same figure). We might get a picture showing if there is indeed a change but at that point everyone who ordered it would already have it.

Makes sense, Will. I was going to wait to see what the general consensus might be, but I had pre-ordered from HLJ back in August....and I couldn't hold back on the spending trigger-finger.

Part of me considered the KO, simply because there's no way I could keep him MISB -- but he's so G1 cartoon perfect, I had to thank Takara for delivering. :CON:

I wouldn't completely outrule it Will. It's one of the main complaints with the figure. If there's a change made, and the chipping is solved, I bet there's at least one Youtuber that'll cover it.

It took a long time coming, but now I too can say I am a doubter turned believer. I still have no regrets in having waited this long, it was worth it in case this figure wouldnt have turned out that great. And him being so pupular, the reissue made it so that I could still preorder it at those japanese sites and get it at the best price possible.

I am just late to the game is all. And I will say that my only issue is that after having handled him and posed him, those odd zigzaggy designs on his crotch dont add so much articulation to be worthwhile, compared to how much they take away in a visual aspect.

But anyway, this is me having fun with him

Just checking what I can do with my new MP 36 Megatron.

Congrats, Will! MP-36 is incredible!

Can't say that the zigzag pattern bothers me in the slightest. (And I appreciate that it's done this way rather than one piece like Hot Rod.)

BTW, have you transformed him yet?

Oh yes, several times. It was quite the experience. The first time I used instructions, but then I did it without. There's a few things I do before and after but as long as we stick to doing all the arms the same time or the legs the same time, it works pretty well. I do like how everything fits together. I am not sure if it is my favourite toy Of 2017, but it comes pretty close. I do enjoy transforming him quite a bit. Do you find him more or less complicated than Sun streaker?

More complicated, since I've already mastered Sunstreaker's transformation. I should try the same with Megatron! (Probably even remember most of it.)

Does the the silencer slide easily over the barrel on your copy?

Bet MP Convoy v3 will be able to stroke his own jaw, too. :))
