Yes BUT they are making this MP of the production version and not of the Concept that was in the Movie in 2007!

why in the world of flying monkeys would they do.
does anyone think the color is also wrong

yes, I think the colour is wrong. But then again, there is a filter in the colouring of the film so who knows what the car actually looked like on set.

certainly hope he doesnt turn out like the recent hasbro stock photos. they changed the windows

If we knew the answer we wouldn't have to ask the question.

I remember the color being "Rally Yellow", which seems more yellow than orangey/bronze yellow.

Here's the 2010 production version of the Transformers SE Camaro in daylight..

And here's the MP.

After posting that, I really wouldn't have minded if they made it look like that Special Edition since they were gonna use the production model anyway.

Colour isnt that bad then. For some reason though I always think of his yellow as having a bit of orange in it, but I think its due to the colour filter in the film.

Yeah I agree. Doesn't help that Premium Bumblebee has that orangey tint.

But there it is, right up front, clear as day. Stripes stop at the end of the hood, and the upper fascia (above the grille) has an air inlet without stripes. Also, silver/polished wheels not gunmetal on the production version.

MAN, that looks good...

Any chance those door-wings are capable of angling in to achieve a more movie-accurate look?
I know what you're talking about, and I don't think those quarter windows are pinned to rotate. It's almost like butterfly wings when you see him in the movie, an upper and lower wing.

I was actually referring to the "primary" "wings" - should've just said "doors". :-P

In the movies, the doors aren't splayed out so widely. They're positioned closer to the spine, flair upwards, and don't flair outwards as much.

Yes to all of the above. I knew what you were talking about, I just didn't put it in to words

AmiAmi orders are up. If I'm not mistaken these are the first Japanese pre-orders.

http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail ... 9&page=top

Only 7,530 JPY (~US$68). Add maybe 700 JPY for SAL shipping and the total comes to around US$75. Not as great of a savings as I had hoped compared to Hasbro's US$80 MSRP, but still great for those of us without a local TRU. I ordered mine.

We have the first preorder available for MPM3 Bumblebee. While the hasbro release is a Toysrus exclusive, the Takara release is not and will be carried by many retailers. This is good news to those who do not have a toysrus around them. Fellow Seibertronian Emerje has the details and breakdown below for those curious.

I already have so many Bees, it's a hive. So I really wonder what more will this expensive MP will bring into my collection.

I'll definitely wait for video reviews before importing.

You dont need to import, he will be at our toysrus. importing is for those who dont have a toysrus near them (like all of Italy).

Let's just hope the price won't be stupid high (Like MP-Bee's 110$CAN), or stupid low (like the instant-scalped Starscream). >:oP

Had we already learned the cost of this figure? Man, I had no idea it would be so much, I thought it would be priced like the MP cars.

Damm, I was really looking forward to this, and now it's a pass. :(

It's supposed to retail around $70-80 US, isn't that about usual for an MP car now?

No. I can import them from Japan for 70 or less shipped. Maybe I'll change my mind if I ever see one in store, but I'm just not feeling it worth the price. Cheapest preorder I say from across the big pond is 75, before shipping.
