Huh, how about that. TakaraTomy keeps surprising me by bucking the trend just when you get the hang of one.

Not just with how they're handling the line, but it remains to be seen how they're handling the names as the current Legends line and Unite Warriors had both US and Japanese names. For those curious:

- Jazz: Meister
- Windcharger: Charger
- Rodimus Prime: Rodimus Convoy
- Optimus Prime: Convoy

i'm looking forward to seeing what Takara does with Windcharger, Beachcomber and both of the primes. With a few choice paint apps on the robot mode Takara could make Orion the most show accurate he's ever been barring the alt mode of course. Jazz i can easily see get repainted into Steppper please make this happen .Outside of Abominus, Volcanicus and Predaking i can't see Unite Warriors coming back keep it in your pants lads :D

I think the most exciting thing about this announcement is that these figures will be coming within the next 6 months. It was a looooong wait when TF Legends went on hiatus in the middle of this year. It was nearly 10 months in between when Titans Return Hot Rod came out in Hasbro markets and when Takara finally put their version out. Since then, Legends releases have been slow and piecemeal by comparison to Hasbro. It made it very hard to resist buying Hasbro versions when there wasn't any knowledge of what Takara's versions would look like or even IF they would be released at all. Knowing that the Takara PotP equivalents are coming next spring, I can hold off on hunting down the Hasbro versions, at least until I can get some good comparison pictures.

As for the combiners, I do feel like it would be a good time for Takara to bring back Unite Warriors for a second round. There is plenty of ground yet to cover with classic G1 combiners and the new combiners from the Power of the Primes line, as well as the opportunity for more "EX" releases to cover repaints like Guard City and Battle Gaia.

Lol you got a lot to complain about.Image

Edit: I love to customize my toys, and I'm not extremely upset about the Prime Masters having pins instead of screws. Hell, they're not even supposed to become heads anyway. That's only a bonus option. For what they're meant to be used for, it kinda makes the point of the screw irrelevant.

Here are his included accessories. His power core is referred to as the Seeker Enigma.

His robot mode is certainly where he shines. Great articulation and appearance, though he has some seriously huge boots. I didn't love the way his cannons mounted on his shoulders, but actually far preferred it when I used the combiner feet instead. It reminds me a lot of Cybertron Starscream in this configuration.

He is covered in pre-applied stickers and several are done fairly poorly. Note his feet where the stickers do not lay flat due to the detail molding beneath them:

Transformation to jet is fairly simplistic, in fact I think some people will find it way too simplistic for a voyager figure. Tabbing his wings in perfectly is a real challenge and I gave up in frustration after a few minutes.

Finally there is his combiner mode. It is actually surprisingly stable, though rather convoluted to arrive to. He is sporting his classic Starscream crown. Also his instructions only refer to this as his super robot mode, doesn't seem to have its own name and uses the deluxe wave one bots as his limbs.

He will be staying in his bot mode on my shelf as that is what I am happiest with by far.

At the moment, I'm looking at picking up all the Prime Masters, all the Legends except for Shrapnel, the Dinobots, the Decepticon Jets, Moonracer, Starscream, and Rodimus Prime. Undecided on the Terrorcons, wanna wait and see more.

I'm just thankful we now have a voyager Starscream with a nice robot mode. Jet mode looks decent enough to me to pass if you don't stare at the bottom, and combined mode pleasantly surprises me. Only problem to me is he's probably not gonna be redone into Skywarp and Thundercracker because of his scale, but that's not an issue with the toy itself of course.

Now we just need a voyager Shockwave, and maybe a new voyager Soundwave to replace that weird elongated torso Soundwave from FoC. :-? Oh yeah and a voyager Ironhide and Ratchet would make me happy too. ;)^

I am still waiting for one >:oP

I dont see how scale changed anything. Every other Generations Starscream got recoloured into those two other seekers and the scales were all over the place.

Plus, we have a listing for a TRU exclusive Thundercraker so I think both the redecos will be store exclusives.
So you may get your wish :)

Toysrus has Received Shipment for Transformers Power of the Primes Wave 1 Deluxes and Legends

While it did not last long, Toysrus.com did have every deluxe and legends class Transformers toy from Power of the Primes on sale earlier today. At great prices too, with deluxes at $13.59 and legends at $7.99. At the moment of writing this, Skrapnel and Windcharger are still available. You could always ask to be notified if the product comes back into stock or, if possible, present these listings at your local Toysrus and ask for a raincheck to purchase them at these prices when they become available in stores (your mileage may vary).

The great take away from this is that Toysrus has recieved a shipment of Power of the Primes Wave 1 Deluxes and Legends. It is unknown if this first shipment only contained what was sold online or if it also contained stock for their brick and mortar stores, which would currently be on their way and possibly show up on shelves soon. So let us know if you do find these toys in Toysrus stores in the sightings section and your local sightings thread.

We thank Bucky for having reached out to let us know of these listings.

So I got my luxes from HTS earlier in the week and only just got to fiddle with them.

Relative scale aside I love these Dinobots. Would I prefer bigger and more intimidating scale? Sure. But these giys are fun toys.

And Slag has a great 5mm prg hole.

Slag really took No Shave November to Spark...

Or it's free shipping if you order $29 worth of products, which is a great deal especially at the discounted prices.

You gotta remember Priority Mail is the lowest option they will go and even that minimum is 5 bucks. The extra dollar is packagung cost rounded up. First Class Mail is fine person to person but its not as gairenteed safe as Priority so a business wont touch it. Its also hy I o verything I can to NOT have to ship PRIORITY when I ell on Eay, when I can stuff a small Priority box into a manila bhubnle packer and come in $3 cheaper you better believe I am gonna do it.

I got all of the PotP deluxes and legends class figures at Target easily. For those of you who don't already know how to do this, another thread listed the DPCI codes or all of the sets at Target. Go to any Target Inventory checker sites and enter the code and your zip code and it will show you if your store has it in stock. I saw that my nearest store had the deluxes in stock and when I got there and they were not on the shelf, I found an employee, showed him the DPCI code and he went in the back and found a case and I was able to get Jazz, Slug, Swoop, and Dreadwind. I then saw that a Target about 15 miles out had the legends and did the same thing there and was able to pick up Slash, Windcharger, and Beachcomber. Anyway, for those still looking, if you can find the DPCI codes (I can't remember which thread had them listed now) and Google a Target Inventory Checker site, this may help you get your hands on the ones that have shipped to your nearest stores. Good luck.

Tried that. None of my stores had them may have gotten picked by other collectors. Got my Drluxes though when HTS had them. The Voyagers and Legends are reserved on Amazon. If I find them before the 1tth, cancelling is not hard. If I don't, thrn I am set

Hasbrotoyshop & Toys R Us gets them in stock. I check that same day & they're already sold out. I'm pretty sure they only got 1 **** case in. Just like when my Walmarts get anything in, they only get 1 case. I'm just gonna order from ebay or Amazon & skip the frustration & hassle.

BBTS might be a cheaper option than either Amazon or eBay. I haven't checked recently, so I don't know for sure what these are going for in the jungle or bay.

When you think about it, Starscream's combined mode not having a specific name or identity make perfect sense. Why? Because Starscream is such an egomaniac that it make perfect sense that he'd presumably be the dominant personality in such a combination and want to keep it named after itself rather than imply that the combined being is an entity of its own.

Yup. Easy pass. This toy is really something of a let down. The kibble in all modes are just unforgivable given how far we've come in toy engineering and design.

I was just able to process orders for all four legend size ones even though they indicated out of stock. Ymmv, but it’s worth a shot to me at these prices.

We should all remember that these toys were not supposed to come out until December/January. Any case found out there before then is sheer dumb luck and so far these have not been found at the biggest toy retailer in the US (volume wise, which is Walmart) nor have these been found in any other country in the world. So we really should relax. its wave 1, the wave most ordered. Anyone remember when no one was finding Triggerhappy? I remember people being as desperate as Jennifer Connely in Requiem for a Dream, but now that toy is everywhere.

New Configuration Found for Transformers Power of the Primes Dinobot Combiner Using Only 3 Robots

PostPosted: Sat Dec 02, 2017 8:34 pm
by william-james88
It seems the more and more images we see of Volcanicus, the combiner made up of all the Power of the Primes Dinobots, the less people are excited. The arms seem too far apart from one another (especially when the extra combiner fists are not used to fill up the gap), the proportions are not great and the fact that the dino mode for Grimlock looks compromised by the combining gimmick is not enchanting anyone.

Image

Image

However, saltcandyHakata on Twitter, has found an alternate configuration by playing around with Voyager Grimlock and the only two released deluxe Dinobots so far, Swoop and Slug. They have found that combiner fists can connect to the bottom of Grimlock's feet, meaning that you can extend the dino legs as smaller combiner arms and simply plug in the fists. This makes for a much less bulky combiner and fun option configuration to have while waiting for the rest of the team to complete the combiner. More than that, it shows the possibility of this combining system having a decent looking combiner made from just three robots. Road Caesar anyone?
