Times like this do make me miss Fun Pub and the Ask Vector Prime segments. This two pack is a continuity curiosity, and I would love to be able to get an official answer on which fiction these figures are intended to belong to. My collection display depends on it! :-(

These are technically his G1 incarnation since the back of the box calls him a data scientist and both it is supposed to show his evolution (as said in the back). So yeah, this is G1 Prime.

It's weird, since not only do we have different design ethics behind the two; we have very different colour schemes and hues as well -- making it all the more harder to believe they're from the same universe.

Maybe Prime asked drift for a paintjob to represent his changed state of mind.

That wasn't G1 Orion Pax's occupation, though. G1 Orion was a dock worker in the cartoon.

Or if you mean IDW G1, that Orion wasn't a data clerk either. He was a cop.

Only Aligned Orion was a data clerk.

It's an odd set, but glad I scored one at retail price. WFC Prime looks like something out of Warhammer 40K, and Orion looks like papercraft.

Wouldn't be the first time someone at Hasbro failed Transformers Continuities 101. 8-}

This was brought to our attention by RodimusConvoy13. Will any of you be getting this set? Let us know in the forums!

Bah! My procrastination gets me again. Completely sold out on both Amazon sites. :(

Yeah, I wish they would have given Orion his G1 cartoon helmet instead of the Prime with a mouth look. But it isnt as Primey looking as the thrilling 30 figure so I bought it. Also the Amazon price was right where I felt it should be. Didnt really need another WFC Prime but f**k it...

Eh, just stick Blurr's head on the Orion body and call it a day. :P

Speaking of Orion Pax, I have it right here.

G1 Orion Pax from 1987! :michaelbay:

...

Yeah, I know, it's Crosshair, but just LOOK at him and tell me you agree that it's G1 Orion Pax with the wrong name and bio. The overall shape and colors are too perfect to be a coincidence.

Well, I do feel TR Crosshairs should have been a red and blue Kup repaint with a new head ;)

BLASPHEMY! CROSSAIR IS AWESOME AS HE IS!

Still, I'd want that E-Hobby exclusive but it's not worth the asking price in my eyes.

Heh, just finished writing that I used Crosshairs as Orion Pax when I was a kid in the haul thread. Great minds and all that.

If anyone is still interested in purchasing the Op Evolution set, Amazon has it back up for sale again here:

https://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Evo ... ion+2-pack

They were sold out for a few days. I missed out the first time, so I made sure to place my order when I saw them today.

Official Images and Packaging Revealed for Transformers Tribute Bumblebee Three Pack

We knew we would be getting a Bumblebee movie three pack for a while but we never had official images, and we weren't sure what line it was under. Well official images have surfaced up on the Snakas blog and we can see that this three pack is also part of the tribute line, which is an Amazon exclusive in the US. We also see the really cool box which has a window showing a garage scene. The words "Bumblebee and the Hive" can be seen on the packaging.

Check it out below!

Agreed.

Is it wrong I want this set, and may actually want to keep it misb?

Probably won't though. really want to experience those 2 classic bee molds that i've never handled. And of course new Bee.

Though handling may need to wait until my hand heals from its unfortunate accident, 5 weeks in a cast... :-(

So this may be the way I pick up that deluxe Bumblebee!! I'm hoping High Octane is more yellow than he used to be and that the '77 'Bee is the amended version so the front stays locked in vehicle mode!!

Not sure about the price in the US, but somewhere around 70$ based on the UK price and how that usually compares.

That packaging is great, mold choices less so. I liked the original '07 Bumblebee, but it really is high time we got a more accurate rendition of that design. High Octane Bumblebee is nice, and I like that he's based on a classic Camaro that everybody liked, but still not an inspiring mold choice. And TLK Bumblebee...ech, not a fan. All those hollow bits and that hideous grey plastic.

Granted, I'm not sure what molds I would have chosen as all the good Movie Bee molds were released fairly close together and with similar alt modes, but there's a fair few really good ones (07 Concept Camaro, HFTD Battle Blade, the DOTM mold and its wonderful gun, heck, even Nitro Bumblebee for originality's sake) and these seem like some of the more...forgettable molds.

Sorry, but I'm kind of a car need too and cannot ignore this classic mistake. It's a beat up 76 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Just had to say.

It's fine. Hasbro can never decide what to put on the package, as they have it labeled wrong here too. I'd be quick to point out if they messed up a Japanese make/model/year, not so much on American vehicles ;)^

The packaging looks like a stile out of the mid 00's. Needless to say I like it a lot more than some current styles.
