Because they did.

So if a few people find them they should be considered out then? I know there are a good amount of people who have yet to find them, just because 3 people got lucky and found them dosent mean the figures are out there for all to find. So i guess TLK DLX Hot Rod should be removed then cause a few people have found him already.

Sorry for the confusion, but when we say US retail, it is assumed to mean big box retail. Smaller specialty stores have different channels and middlement to get toys which usually results in them being priced higher since they arent directly sourced. For instance, RID Bludgeon is out in canada and I have sent some out to US friends. They can in turn sell/trade them to a specialty store for someone else to buy in the US. So someone could find that toy in the US but technically its not out yet. You know that I mean? Unless you got your slugslinger for $16-$20, which would mean its directly sent from hasbro USA.

On a positive note...I FINALLY managed to pick up Titans Return Sixshot at said Walmart(the only one they had).

Wow, it's funny that you commented that. I literally just found Hot Rod (2x), Triggerhappy, Breakaway, and Twinferno (x2) at my local Kmart today. Only picked up Triggerhappy though. I'll see if I can add em to the sightings list.

Muncie In is always late to the party but even we have had Kup, Perceptor, etc. Though I have only seen them at TRU!

Ummm..... why is this news? Slow news day? Can we have a news article for things that haven't turned up in the UK yet? Or Japan? What about Indonesia?

I'm not questioning why the thread exists, just why it has been made news? I've been wondering that about a lot of news lately. Quite a few articles feel like they are just being newsed so you can update the news on the front page.

Man, I really am in a wierd mood today.

Man, I really am in a wierd mood today.

The main reason this thread and this story was created was due to the lack of sightings that Seibertron.com gets that are then reported for news. You would be amazing at how many sightings stories we have posted over the past year or so where as soon as we post the sightings (sometimes using TFW users) we have like 3 people start chiming in saying they found said figure weeks beforehand and just never posted it in a thread or reported it to news staff. This article was to help garner attention to the fact that if you spot a new figure, we would really like you to report it so we can news it and stay up to date with sightings. And Seibertron.com does get a lot of views from people who are not a part of the site, so they could see this story and realize they have seen a toy we haven't and sends it in to us.

Interesting tidbit I just came across, apparently Galvatronus was available for sale at HasCon, possibly other yet to be released figures were as well.

I thought TLK deluxe Hot Rod was a Walmart only exclusive? I never bother with the one Kmart in my area. They never have anything and they prices are as bad as Toys R Us.

I just wish Hasbro would release the new characters in the first wave. Save the Primes, Bees and repaints for the later ones since anyone who's even remotely interested will already have picked them up 3 years ago.

You guys are talking about 2 very different Deluxe Hot Rods. One is talking about TR Hot Rod and the other is talking about TLK Hot Rod.

In the case of Kup, Perceptor and the rest of wave 4, they have been out in the US for 6 months if you count Walgreens, 2-3 months if you only count Walmart/Target/TRU, so it has been many more than 3 people getting lucky there.

It's inspired/reminded me to use the sightings page here.

Added where I've seen the Walgreen's Battalion figures.

Several 2017 Transformers Toys Still Not Found in the US

PostPosted: Fri Mar 30, 2018 9:58 pm
by william-james88
Last September, we had posted a list of the Transformers toys slated for release in 2017 that were not released yet. This was a reminder in case people saw them during the rest of the year, and in case they had indeed been found. The year is come and gone and we are even done with the first quarter of 2018 and some 2017 toys still have not been found on shelves in the US. Some have been found at toy wholesalers, but all of these below have not been found at retail yet. This is simply a heads up to the fan community in case they have seen them or in case they want to look into getting them now through other means than retail in case they are indeed skipped in the US and thus may command higher prices on the secondary market later (granted, some of these toys had very little anticipation).

Here are toys we do not yet have sightings of in the US:

Transformers The Last Knight

Legion Hound
Legion Dragonstorm
Allspark Starter Sqweeks
Allspark Megatron

These toys were all available on Entertainment Earth but only to be purchased with the entire wave which consisted of several repacks in every case. It may also be that Allspark Megatron did see a limited release on Amazon.

Deluxe Cogman was never found at US retail either though the entire wave was available for purchase at online collector oriented stores and online wholesalers.

Both Legion and Deluxe Hot Rod have never been found in Walmart stores but were plentiful online, making it a defacto online exclusive.

Robots in Disguise

Legion Cyclonus
Legion Heatseeker

These were not even offered in the US at the wholesaler level.

So if these are toys you saw in the US at retail, do let us know. And on e-bay ther is only 1 listing for Cyclonus, from Australia.

What is odd about all of these is that this is country specific. As you can see below, several of these toys were found at brick and mortar retail in other countries, just not the US.

I may sound like I'm livinmg under a rock, but what is up with distribution being slow in some areas or why some countries get to have figures earlier than others.

Nobody knows, even Hasbro's own store doesn't carry them online. They simply don't exist in the US. And it isn't just the figures that didn't show up, there have been other figures that were "blink and you miss them" with exceedingly limited distribution. It's easy to say it's line-ender syndrome or Walmart didn't order them, but when the last 3 waves (half the line) of Titans Return Deluxe barely exist at retail at any store online and off there's a huge problem with distribution.

It's not necessarily that, it's also how fast any given assortment sells. Once old stock is near completely sold, new stock is ordered from Hasbro, which updates the contents at certain points throughout the year (the so-called "Waves" and "Revisions"). It sometimes happens that stock in any given area only gets completely sold once two or more of those updates have passed: that results in a wave being "skipped" for that area. Plus, stores may elect not to reorder if sales during a given period are slow, or if they over-ordered the first releases. Looking at you, movie lines

What's also a nasty habit is that tail-enders usually fall victim to being passed over in favor of ordering a new toy line. Because, you know, newer is better :-P

Ugh, this. All the stores in my area STILL have Berserker shelfwarming. I've seen Wave 2 deluxes twice, and I've never seen wave 3 or 4. At this point I've pretty much accepted that I'm never going to get Cogman unless a 3rd party from China copies the mold (basically the only way I could get deluxe Leadfoot from the DotM line).

At least the voyagers seemed to have gotten wide release everywhere. I saw Scorn and Nitro Zeus a couple of times, and several places still have Megatron and Hound available. Those were the best figures of the line anyway.

I saw (and bought) a single Nitro at one store in early November while on a trip. I wouldn't see him locally (and Scorn for the firs time) until the week after Christmas. I would never see them again after that. Megatron and Ironhide were easier to find once enough Grimlocks sold to make room for them. By January the only Voyagers left in my area was some remaining Grimlocks and a Megatron. Just another example of crazy distribution. Some places get flooded with figures while others barely get anything.

That Canadian Walmart is so crazy to look at. After TLK wave 1 dropped Walmart never had more than 20 TFs at a time near me. Only exception was Christmas having the rest of their wave 1 trash and wave 12(?) rid figures out on shelves. My local store only has rid deluxes now and is being taken over by fnaf and nerf! :-(
