hmm...... maybe it is a bonecrusher leader...... tho Hasbro probably wouldn't find 2 decepticons as leaders profitable enough, so might be another autobot :-?

I would see it as another Barricade, Bonecrusher, Sideswipe, better scaled Twins, screen accurate Soundwave, AOE Hound retool from the TLK version.

This, all the way

Although, down the line I would not mind it if they used their newfound combiner might to make a proper, large Devastator

Would love a leader bonecrusher! Long Haul could also definitely be cool, but Bonecrusher or Blackout are who I'd like to see stand alongside Leader brawl.

Brawl is already is already going to be a Voyager. Blackout is going to be a leader as well as grimlock. And here is hoping that the 3rd leader is bonecrusher.

Having not saw TFTLK, I am not sure of the fate of Hot Rod , who was introduced in the film. If he ultimately becomes Rodimus Prime that(not blowing the surprise of that event on screen too soon)would be a practical reason to keep a future Rodimus Prime Leader Class toy a secret for now. JMO, and pure speculation.

Thanks for having me here!

From what the film showed us, Hot Rod is Hot Rod in name only and shows no sign that he will ever have a role akin to the one he had in the original show.

Hot Rod isn't like his original form, but then again, neither were Energon Rodimus or half of Animated Rodimus. While I would like to seem more influences in him, I'm glad he's not a copy and paste of the original guy just for nostalgia. But if he does become a Prime, maybe it'd happen in an animated film. But back to this line, I would love to see a more exclusive mold of him!

Yeah, TLK Hot Rod is really less Hot Rod and more "Ett Rhett" :P

Maybe it could be onslaught, we never did get a figure of him in the last knight line, though I would really like to see a new long haul figure, I love his design and I never could get my hands on that original revenge of the fallen voyager one.

Yah, my only 2 options for what i'd hope to see the 3rd leader class be is bonecrusher or onslaught

Imagine this: remember that Cybertron's most wanted botcon set with the movie Megatron? Well, in his universe, he killed both Optimus and Sentinel in DotM, took over Earth, and eventually fell at the hands of Rodimus Prime, which is how he ended up with the CMW crew.

Now think about that again: in that universe, he may possibly have been facing off against a French-accented Prime.

Fan Reports on Handling 2018 Transformers Movie Leaders Grimlock Blackout, Voyager Optimus and More

Hasbro welcomed a few chinese fans, those who won this contest, to their Shanghai offices to handle the upcoming 2018 toys. One particular fan, Iamnofire shared his thoughts on weibo concerning these new toys.

Firstly, it seems the leaders, Grimlock and Blackout, will look a lot like their on screen apparances but have very easy transformations. This was hinted at with the bigger panels present on leader Blackout in the leaked images with his feet resembling Leader Ironihide's. The transformation might be on par with that release in terms of complexity. The fan comments on the great deco and paint on Grimlock but says that the weapon (hammer) can not be removed due to transformation. Grimlock's T-Rex mode is said to be about 40 cm long but hollowed out at the bottom. Blackout will come with a small Scorponok (pictured below).

Voyager Optimus Prime has a similar Transformation and design to MPM-4 (and thus Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime) with good poseability. Starscream will come with his rotor blade (also pictured below) and the design of the toy is similar to the Dark of the Moon deluxe.

Keep in mind, these points are translated from Chinese so some parts may be lost or misinterpreted.

Voyager Starscream sounds great to me. I like the Deluxe DotM figure quite a bit but felt it was too small and cannot find the upscaled KO so a proper voyager similar to is appealing.

Not sure about 'very easy transformations' on Blackout and Grimlock...that always makes me worried but I'd have to see them properly. And non-removable weapon on Grimlock? Sounds very odd. Voyager Prime sounds good.

Little Scorponok looks great.

I can't find the pics of the other figures mentioned. The Blackout transformation shouldn't be too bad as long as it's solid and accurate to his scheme. Grimlock's weapon concerns me, but if it's better than the AOE version, I would sort of let it off.

The pics of those other toys are part of leaks we were asked not to post on the site. There are still no decent pics out there of any of these toys.

Ok so, the first Blackout toy, which is a great figure itself, was pretty simple, so I am not worried about that for his leader toy.

Grimlock: it is all gonna depend. I am satisfied with the AoE Leader, so they will need to do something really dramatic, like make a screen accurate dino mode for me to display him in that mode, for me to get him.

Voyager Prime will be a pass, I got the MP among many others.

Starscream: I only have the first movie voyager, so I will almost definitely get him too.

Yay for another Scorponok!!

Leaked Clear Image of Leader Blackout from 2018 Transformers Movie Line Studio Series

Coming from Weibo, we have what many fans have long been waiting for, a clear image of leader Blackout. We have known of this toy for a while and for a complete list of all the other toys part o the Transformers Studio Series line, you can click here. This is the image of the back of his box which not only gives us an image of Blackout in his robot mode and alt mode but plenty of other details too. We see the Scorponok figure he comes with (again) along with the amount of transformation steps, which is 46. This is odd since previous reports said he was on the simple side and he is not devoid of kibble, with his feet showing obvious alt mode panels. We should also remember that The Last Knight Leader Megatron was said to be 30 steps, and while that may be accurate, he was not overly complex.

We also have a very brief bio which says that Decepticon Blackout shocks human defenses with unstoppable force.

It may have some big alt mode chunks, but so far, so good! Now let's hope he is not smaller than other Leaders!
