Compared to these, Siege Shockwave and Ultra Magnus are pretty damn poseable. Even Magnus fully armored retain all points of articulation.

I'll be honest in my opinion I prefer Siege style Leader class figures, their more in scale with others in my collection and besides a few exceptions where they should be that big I feel like many leaders were too big.

Agree to both of you! :APPLAUSE:

You and I have had some interesting exchanges, Zelda. Take a look at some of the debates I've had on these boards. I don't always agree with everyone's opinion, but I try to stay dispassionate and stick to the facts as much as possible. Rarely to I manage to ruffle anyone's feathers. When I'm wrong, I admit it too. Take a look back at some of my posts and see if you can incorporate some of my language and style into your responses here. :)

The Leader class in general has had a spotty track record re: waist articulation going back to the Unicron Trilogy at the least.

Honestly, I don't feel like "Voyager sized robot with accessories" is a bad use of the Leader price point.

Dai Atlas is quite the brick by modern standards but...I paid too much for him to feel the need to complain less I become filled with intense buyer's remorse! His mold is good but its clear his new toolings accentuated what were already the weakness of the mold: limited shoulder, wonky waist and wonky legs. He is undeniably beautiful in sculpt and coloration but a dynamic poser he's not!

Edit: On the other hand, Road Fire and Sonic Bomber are top notch retools but it help they are made from the two best deluxe mold of Titans Return.

Last thing on the 'Voyager+' status of Leader-class figures nowadays: are there even that many characters who scaled at what the Leader class was like for the Prime Wars? Beside the 'phase sixer' and maybe Comic-scaled Scorponok I can't really think of anyone in the size range of the old Leader class. Truly towering characters in the cartoon/comics seem like they are a better fit for the new Commander class.

Leader seemed more like it was a marketing price point than any real, proper scale. I mean sure all price point exist for toyline budget, obviously, but still: the size was too big for Optimus and Megatron in relation to most characters being deluxe and voyagers. It was also obviously too big for Rodimus, Soundwave and Blaster too. The guys of that relative size (like Overlord) have basically been done already and anyone else they'd want to sell at such a price point is bound to be smaller if one want any kind of decent scale. Note that I did say decent because Transformers always had size issues.

The reality is most Transformers characters can be generally assumed to be in between the (current) deluxe to voyager size. The major outliers (according to most 'sane' charts I can find) are Sixshot (already done as an 'old' Leader), Overlord (ditto), Jetfire/Skyfire (coming out as Commander) and Star Saber (Arguably old Leader to Commander-sized). Anything bigger is a combiner or Titan anyway!

Transformers War for Cybertron Siege Rainmakers Spotted at Massachusetts Target

As reported here just a few hours ago we know the Rainmaker Seeker Three Pack is on its way for only $79.99, but we didn't know it was already here! Thanks to Dorksidetoys on TFW2005 we have stock images of the trio, and thanks to TFW2005 member Fast Draw we have visual proof the three storms have arrived at their local Target in Massachusetts. Dorkside also states they believe this will in fact be a Target exclusive.

Be sure to head out and check your local stores and bring your umbrellas! Wait! Non-metal acid proof umbrellas! These neon nasties mean business!

Enjoy the images and as always share your view with the Seibertron crew in the forums, and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest in Transformers news.

Hmm, not sure about the Micromaster pack yet, but it is a consideration. I can display 1 set of jets as a sword then!

The seekers being $80 makes that more manageable. I think I'll get them.

Frikkin/ RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNG! Yes!!!!!

That is the reveal of the year right there. Sorry Hasbro, but Rung >>> Unicron now. $6 >>> $600

#SDCC2019 Additional Images of Transformers Siege Astrotrain

Just in from the #SDCC2019 from Autobase Aichi are some great images of Astrotrain in robot mode, his vehicle mode, and his (proper) train tender in its various modes. You can see it housing a store of large weapons in tender mode and converted into a nice rocket base for his shuttle mode.

And by base I don't mean a launchpad, no, I mean an armed fully stretched out rocket base. There are two grey components on the floor beside Astrotrain that look almost as though they could be height increasing boots, but even if his extra parts don't turn into a full suit of armor ala Shockwave a full rocket base more than makes up for it. This would also be a new way of utilizing a leader classes extra component pieces we haven't seen yet in the Siege line.

Enjoy the views and stay tuned to Seibertron for your up to date #SDCC2019 news!

If anyone is at SDCC and sees a Hasbro rep or John Warden, can you please ask if there is any chance that we might get a Star Saber figure?

Actually I'm not convinced that are compatible with the TR titans and bases. Look at the photo of the tender on its side. The spacing doesn't look even between all the tabs, and the bumps or nubs in some of the gaps look too large for the TR connectors. Hell the bumps/nubs on the TR connectors are too large for themselves in some configurations and these look much larger to me. Could certainly be the angle in the photo, but something just looks slightly off to me as compared to the TR connectors.

Asteotraon looks infinitely better here than before. The alt modes look fantastic now, the weapon storage is awesome, and that rock base! I am loving it!

And to think I just bought Legends Astrotrain. Ah well. Siege one got some nice extras like the launch pad but my collection only has room for one Astrotrain. >:oP

Yeah, I dont think they are compatible.

Why wouldnt they be? They went out ofvtheir way last Convention to show us that Supreme has the Base Connectors, why would thry go put of their way to give Astrotrain something that definately looka like them and isnt?
