Seeing Tonton's video made me realise that Cliff is two-tone red, as it looks as though his his shoulders are black plastic painted red. Hopefully it's not too different in person to the red plastic for those that want him.

Some frustratingly troll level size comps for Cliffjumper.

CliffandtheBees.png

CliffyJ appears to be close to a head taller than Bee/all the other minibots.

It gets better! If I'm not mistaken, those are two different MP Bees. You also need this:

I think I can definitely live with the height discrepancy between Legends Bee and Cliffy-J. Judging by carytheone's little digi chart, I can surmise that that looks great.

I like to think of it this way. Bee and Cliff are two different, but awesome dudes. Like carytheone and me. I'm a tad taller, then Cary, but we are still good buddies fighting against the powers of evil together. Just like Bee and C!

I have no issues with Cliff's size and think he's going look great with the rest of the team. I'm very much looking forward to all his guns and accessories. Siege brought the pew pews and Earthrise is bringing the shields. I hope part three has cloaks ;)

EDIT: so did the news team like a half hour ago, should have checked the front page. :BANG_HEAD:

EDIT2: WTF did he not bring in CJ to compare with 8-|

What I love is the fact that no one has realised that hasbro and Takara are going to make everyone buy the whole minibot gang again anyway ;)

As long as they keep making two Optimus Primes a year, I'm ok with that >:oP

Hoist is looking better with the greens, sizing and hands that can be popped off so he's definitely on my buy list.

I'm more vexed that he didn't put the orange wings up! At least he did eventually realize that the white flood lights were supposed to be deployed in robot mode too.

I'm glad to see that Hoist is about the same height as Siege Ironhide/Ratchet/Crosshairs, or even a hair taller. Also, the contrast between the green paint and green plastic looks far less severe. It gives the mold a nice "two-tone" look to break it up a bit without going totally off model. Bring on Trailbreaker! :)

It's like Chefatron all over again, that guys videos were like watching someone try and transform a figure using a couple of hams.

Back to Hoist. I feel like a little more could be down with the arms under the cab. At a minimum, rotate the back of the hands out.

I'm luke warm on Hoist, I don't have that character represented in plastic and it's a different mold than T30 Trailbreaker. So a soft maybe :-?

OH I realized, was just keeping quiet. But yeah, with the advent of Siege, it felt like, aside from Combiners, everyone is up for being redone since it's a new scale and all that jazz.

Hoist is the figure I'm least looking forward to but I've ordered it anyway... Quite apart from looking like an ice hockey jersey, he so obviously didn't have much thought go into his construction. Unless it was, 'What's the quickest way I can make a vehicle here, screw how the bot looks!'.

I disagree. He's an accurate update of the original toy, and even looks a lot like the G1 comic version, even if that's unintended. His knees could have been a bit bigger, but that's a minor thing.

Heads-up, TonTon got Ironworks up.

He still looks the best to me of this whole wave, and I don't even really like baseformers. He just looks really cool and fun, he's basically a new character, and I'm pretty sure I can finagle some kind of armored constructing tank/crawler/thing out of him. Plus he can turn either of his hands into a gun, that's always a plus.
Also he didn't JUST get a figure in Siege, unlike some people No the Micromaster doesn't count, he's a separate guy.

Edit: Video is embedded, thanks Sabr!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIlChOPn-ak (Can't get the Youtube embed thing to work, if someone could help me with that)
Copy and paste the video's ID into the tags.

In this case, the ID is the eIlChOPn-ak part, as the ID is the short bit of gibberish that follows the v= part.

The black plastic shoulders would have been more on model too. They painted something to make it LESS accurate, lol! They should have saved some of the superfluous red paint and instead painted over some of the black parts with gray to increase the screen accuracy.

Ironworks reminds me of the Micro Machines Pocket Playsets and I'm digging it.

I hope we see more figures with mini playset alt modes. Earthrise has a micromaster machine city vibe. Makes sense if the plan is to set up base on Earth.

I know, but in terms of transformation they have a few bits that could definitely work better. And I personally would have much rather had a less fugly homage than the accuracy we're getting.

I could honestly see him shelf-warming but who knows.

Weird when the bot mode is spot on, it's just the vehicle mode that has issues (side windows, under carriage hands, mismatched wheels) -hollow parts like back of the legs have been quite prominent in other siege figures (refraktor and soundwaves arms).
I'm thinking the hands can pop off so its just more parts forming (or removing) for vehicle mode. Hopefully it can still tow cars like the G1 as well as the base compatibility.

OK,since we've gotten most of the 1984 checklist I'm hoping for:
Jazz
Trailbreaker
Sunstreaker
Brawn
Bumblebee
Gears
Huffer
Windcharger

Plus since Ultra Magnus and Springer were so awesome I'd also like to see the rest of the '86 movie cast:
Kup
Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime(maybe a leader class Magnus/ POTP type)
Blurr
Arcee(general release so everyone has the chance to pick her up)
Wreck-Gar
Galvatron
Cyclonus
Scourge

The only problem is most lines don't seem to last more than 2-3 years at best so who knows.
MAYBE if Hasbro stopped wasting time and money on one step, dumbed down spring loaded action junk that always warms the pegs in my neck of the woods(and most others I visit) they'd have the resources to keep the quality stuff going.
