Pictures of the upcoming Universe Cyclonus figure, with his Targetmaster partner Nightstick have been posted at TF08.net.

It should be noted that these images show Cyclonus and Nightstick in a somewhat unpainted state, in stark contrast to the previously released stock images of Cyclonus that we reported earlier.

Cyclonus is meant to be released as part of the fourth wave of Universe Deluxe figures, alongside Hound, Cheetor and Starscream sometime in November 2008.

I agree. This looks fantastic. Except for the paint job in those pics, of course. I wish we could properly see Nightstick's robot mode though. We still haven't seen a proper, clear picture of it.

What do you mean "unpainted"?

That's how the toy is going to look out of the package. Hasbro obviously didn't learn anything from the Classics Starscream/Skywarp debacle, and it looks like we'll have to wait for a Henkei face repaint once again.

The previously released images have been heavily photoshopped (dodge/burn/dodge/burn), just like all recent publicity shots of Hasbro's products have been.

awesome... though i might hang fire until we start seeing more pictures of it.. or the henkei version... which is what im doing for Galvatron..

seems like hasbro just cant be arsed and takara are cleaning up after them with the classics 2.0/universe decos... :\

The mold is awesome.

This is one mold that has no real repaint applications whatsoever, so you never know, maybe they will make a 'Premium' version with more details, better paint, etc.

I suppose you could go with like Night attack in black, or from the KO version so many years back---white.

You could also do a very odd colored one from a Season 3 ep. where he Magnus and a Quint go through some kind of black hole and on their way through they have some very odd color schemes to say the lease.

I really hope Nightstick is mistransformed in that alt mode pic, because to always have his face staring up like that, I'll bet he's thinking, "Beige. We should paint the ceiling beige."

This guy could use some paint. Especially on the face.

How come there's a dude lying face up on the jet? Is it like some kind of a coffin bearing airplane? Looks aweful.

Cyclonus himself looks great. Minus that sun-bathing little dude.

And yes, I do believe Nightstick is mistransformed.

His legs should be folded up to his chest, and semi hide his face.

I could take a few Nightstick repaints.

This guy is a definite must buy. I must have one for my collection.

As usual, it doesn't look as good in reality as it does in Hasbro's digitally-altered promotional shots, but it still looks like a cool figure, and I plan to get it as soon as I can.

Well, if this is how the final product looks, Hasbro can kiss my money goodbye. I’ll have to see how Henkei does this guy.

Although, judging by the paint applications it would appear this is an mock-up.

I completely agree. Hasbro/Takara nailed this one. If Hasbro's paint scheme is anything like the "stock" photo, I wonder how it will be possible for Takara to improve upon it. Will be difficult, I think, unless Hasbro botches it, big-time.

Can't wait to get this Figure. The classics line has been coming along nicely! I bet the Henkei version has a better paint scheme. But here's to a Targetmaster partner with some actual range of movement in the limbs! And only in 2 months? Ohh, man.
