More Information On UK And TF Animated Toys Future

Yesterday, it was reported that there may be some issues with receiving TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED toys after Wave 4.5.

According to the source here, it has been clarified that it is believed that only Wave 4.5 would see cancellation, as this wave only includes a change with the inclusion of Animated Elite Guard Bumblebee.

This morning Kapow received additional information that Wave 4.5 was being cancelled, nothing was mentioned regarding further wave or the line in general. Now before anyone panics, it is our belief that this news will turn out to be that just Wave 4.5 has been cancelled. If you look back at the breakdown report that we posted, you will see that Wave 4.5 only included one new toy, the recoloured Bumblebee as Elite Guard Bumblebee. The other two main toys from that Wave (Swoop and Sentinal Prime) are also due for release as part of Wave 4. Therefore things will not be as bad as many fans fear. Future UK waves have not been announced, but it is quiet likely that Hasbro do not want to change the stock that is on the shelves again too close to Christmas.

Both wave 4 and Wave 4.5 were scheduled for release within the UK this month (October 2008), the same month that the UK exclusive Transformers Animated comic is released. It should also be noted that a Terrestrial channel is supposedly going to start airing Transformers Animated from next year.

Again, the latest on this news story is that wave 4.5 has been cancelled. Further updates will be made as more information becomes available.

Makes sense. Wave "4.5" really isn't a wave at all. More like a ripple. The BB repaint is nice, but he still has big goofy clown shoes.

Excellent news. The lack of exposure to the toon in the UK was making this line a slow mover (where i am) untill Tesco slashed the price by 1/2. Now you cant find any! I have visited 5 Tesco stores over the last week and have picked up a bucket full of xmas presents for me...AHEM!...my boy and his friend next door.
Today alone i visited 2 Tesco extras (Grimsby/Cleethorpes) both of which were sold out apart from the Prime/Megatron packs. Stopped off in Skegness to find they had restocked with a whole display of the discounted line, but sadly none we had not already got.
Fed up of detours to supermarkets i have completed thier collections today with Kapow through Amazon. Neither of them are bothered about Elite Bumblebee so all i need are Swoop and Sentinel. Are they due a release before xmas or can i import them now, to get here before xmas?

Good news for the poor Pommie Buggers who seem to get the short end of the stick more often than not.

While the Toyline is in drastic need of support from the cartoon all over the world, the UK release of episodes is among the worst I've heard of.
