Reports are coming in that the Hasbro Toy Shop exclusive special edition Universe figures are being sighted at Marshalls stores.

4Chan board poster optimus2575 has posted images of the figures in the stores. All four figures of Optimus Prime, Megatron, Dragstrip and Overkill have been seen with a price point of $9.99 USD, making them six dollars less then they were originally available at HTS.com.

i live in england so i dont know, isnt $9.99 good for a deluxe is the US regardless of series? especially seeing as their special editions

i have at least a repaint of those molds but not overkill maybe ill go tomorrow

9.99 USD is amazing for Deluxe figures. These were selling for $15.99 USD on Hasbro Toy Shops site and only available there, which is why I put it on the front page.

Whatever happened to rest of the Universe Special Edition figures? I thought they were going to do at least 2 more.

These were never available in normal retail stores until now?

Yeah, it's just one of those things for America, like, you know, toilets flushing clockwise and stuff.

Now if only there was a Marshall's anywhere near me... Very cool find, though.

Marshall's is actually a great place to buy toys. They actually have gotten some other exclusives in the past, such as the Toys R US GI Joe Senior ranking officer 3-packs. I even found the fairly rare GI Joe Arise, Serpentor Arise DVD pack there.

I think Ross stores sometimes get the same stuff so maybe that might be worth checking, also.

Those were great repaints IMO. This is cool for folks who don't already have them. It is kind of a shame there weren't more considering two of the four were characters we already got. I certainly would have been interested and most likely would have bought them.

Yes this is good. You'd be $6 + shipping to buy it from Marshalls. That's even a dollar better than the current SRP for what I'd call "mass market" deluxe class figures. (There was a time when $9.99 was the MSRP for deluxe-class... but I think that actually ended with Animated.)

WOW! this is good new and glad to hear it, even though i already have Overkill and Dragstrip (bought these when HTS had the 25% off with free shipping) hopefully i can find HTS Universe Megatron, he's the only one i need now...

Hopefully need as in need to complete the collection, but the Megatron is a big disappointment in my eyes. It just looks so blah. Tank mode is the only part that looks good.

Well looks like ill be going to marshalls this week.

First Marshalls I went to had both Drag Strip and Overkill. Holy cow!

I feel bad for anyone who paid $30 for any of these special edition figs.

Just picked up Drag Strip and Overkill today. Had to go to two different Marshall's to find them though. Great figures the pair of them.

I didn't find anything at Marshall's besides a bunch of Bumblebee Mr. Potato Heads.

Huh, I have a Marshalls 16 minutes from me. Never knew that.

If you have a Marshall's and see these, GET THEM. I'm not big fan of the Optimus and Megatron, but for 9 bucks for special editions?!

Guess its just not in the cards for me to get these at a great price.

Are they serious ??? i thought these were like $100 mail order limeted editions from Japan...Ill pick em up. Havent been to marshalls in ages....
