Takara Tomy Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Buster Optimus Prime & Jetfire Giftset has been released in East Asia with report of sightings in China and Singapore.
Seibertron Energon Pub member Real Devastator has sighted and purchased this 2 pack giftset in Singapore.

This version of Buster Optimus Prime comes with mouthplate and Jetfire is also a repaint version.

The combat biography of this pack is the same as the original Leader Class Optimus Prime as well as Leader Class Jetfire.

However it has been noted the official images of Buster Optimus Prime/Jetpower Optimus Prime behind the box, is still the first version images of Buster Prime that without the mouthplate.

Dang! that must be the most biggest box in the world. It looks taller than a normal Leader and more than wide of 2 leaders. Thats pretty cool giftset.

I thought this was released in December? Maybe I'm reading too much into it, and by East Asia it's meant 'outside of Japan.'

I've had my 'copy' since December via BBTS, and it has been in stock there for weeks. $164.99 @ BBTS, but I have seen it cheaper, elsewhere.

From what i know, this 2 pack is Asian version. So Japan is not receiving this. I could be wrong, members staying in Japan probably can verify this.

Online stores maybe having stocks earlier than retail, probably thats the reason.

I got mine in the uk today, via import. Buster optimus and redeco jetfire are awesome. Sadly i only wanted buster optimus with face plate, so i have put jetfire on eBay for a uk collector.

Question to you, Sir! Is the voice-chip in Jetfire any different? i.e. Does he have a grand Mark Ryan glorified Englishman, or is he still a softly-spoken Scot?

And open question (which may have been asked already) are there any plans at all to release this box in the Western countries? Yeah, stores like Forbidden Planet might import them (they do on a lot of stuff), but what about official releases? Anything?

sorry pal, i can't accurately answer the question about the voice chip as I have not heard the hasbro version of ROTF leader jetfire.

It's a fair bet that forbidden planet in the uk will get it at some point, however you would be be better of buying it from one of the brit based import companies like kapow or toyz and gamez, as they will get it sooner and sell it cheaper than forbidden planet.

Still on the fence with this, and it's really uncomfortable sitting there. I just feel like Hasbro is going to do this, but I don't want to bet on that, and then have to pay $400 when it doesn't come out.

Don't take the risk i respectfully say. This buster prime and redeco jetfire are like takara's henkei transformers, that is to say they are unlikely to be officially released in the west.

This point may not be very valid, but I have to say, take this into consideration: They are releasing a repaint of Leader Megatron into the NEST Line. So maybe, just maybe, we might get these two as a store release in some shape or form. Just a though.

I got mine from BBTS. More expensive, but I'm more comfortable with a domestic seller.

Anyway, it's just spectacular. The new paintjobs are so much better than the Hasbro versions. And by going with what I read on Jetfire's article of tfwiki, I think I got the official mode of Jet Optimus in proper form.

See here: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Jetfire_%28ROTF%29#Leader_Class_toys

Although what really strikes me, in hindsight, is that Hasbro decided not to color the plastic on their versions the right colors. It seems like such a simple choice, but for some reason Optimus is in too bright a shade of blue.
