Too bad I live in the U.S instead of the good ol' bacon-making-funny-accented country!

Oh, like, wow! I'm like, oh so totally excited that like, Hasbro's making like, another Sideswipe, that I'm like going to totally talk like a valley girl for like, the rest of my life. Fur sure!!!

My interest in this hobby is waning, that's something I never thought I'd say too. About the only thing I'm excited about from HFD is Ironhide, but even then he's just another Ironhide. These days I'm really only interested in redecos of older classics molds, since I'm really not even liking Generations. Sigh...

So what is the time differential between U.S. releases and Canadian release? or is it pretty much the same time.

I'm just limiting my purchases myself. There are some I'm having my eyes on, but the next few months will be good to my wallet, or bad, since this gives me the opportunity to play catch-up with older lines. :P

These are canadian prices yes? Alot of unseen names on that list..One thing that jumps out is Elita 1.. Is that going to be released in the new gold packaging or the ROTF packaging? If it's released under a non RoTF line doesn't that kind of defeat the prupose of releasing her at all?

Waitaminute, Darkmount (Straxus) is just a deluxe? I thought the Toy Fair photos implied he'd be a voyager. Did Hasbro just pull the same downsizing crap they did with Universe Galvatron because they've "already made enough big tanks lately"? If that's the case, they should've given him his original flying cannon alt mode.

Still, I'm more ecstatic about him finally getting a toy than the rest of this year's line-up put together...well, Animated Arcee was almost as long a time coming. I'll still probably buy 3 or 4 of him and try to kitbash him together with Energon Six-Shot/Shockblast.

I'm 99% sure that the photos listed him as a deluxe (though so highly detailed he almost looked bigger) because it means he'll be a reasonable size next to the rather undersized Classics Megatron and the tiny Classics Seekers.

I don't follow your logic... how is the purpose of a toy defined by the disposable packaging it's shipped in?

Generations is (for now) only a deluxe line, it has been since it's announcement at Toy Fair. Personally I'm hoping they'll expand it into the other classes eventually.

Of course Canada gets the products, but at ridiculous prices. I'm happy that the 2-pack PCC are $10, but what's the deal with the 5-packs for $30? It seems a little ridiculous in my opinion, just like our Voyager figures, 10 bucks more than those in the US for little to no reason. Also the price on the Human Alliance figures are even more ridiculous. $50? Not even funny. One of the only reasonably priced things seems to be Grimlock. Sure he's still $70, but that's not too too bad, I suppose.

A ton of interesting names on that list, both known and new, looking forward to seeing/getting them.

Aye, I'm rather annoyed that with our currencies so close together now, and predicted to be so for the next year at least, that we Canadians have to pay more money. Something I'm gonna ask Hasbro at Botcon for sure.

Be prepared for the same canned statement. In Canada: higher minimum wage, less competition, smaller marketplace. No matter what the dollar does these excuses seem to always be used. The consumer revolt 2 years ago when parity was passed and then some meant that Leader prices fell to $39.99. Doubt we will see that again.

I sure wish we knew when the US is supposed to get these figures...im sure that we will get them around the same time, but definitive answers would be greatly appreciated :D Lucky Canada!

Generations Blurr! Too bad there isn't an exact date with that one. I'm taking a stab in the dark and predicting he'll be a December/January release.

That's the way it's always been, unfortunately. I can go across the border, but figures at regular prices, pay duties, and STILL save money.

Interesting news, looks like this may be an expensive summer for me. Luckily I can skip out on most of the movie line, and half the PCCs. Generations, here I come! :D

Don't forget to factor in the extra shipping and the added cost of packaging them in different packaging for us. But mainly I would expect that they would ignore the question and say you would have to ask somebody from Hasbro Canada as they "don't handle the details for the Canadian market."

Personally seeing the current way things work, are to produce in asia, and dropship to Hasbro in Quebec, before being sent across the country. I wonder if Hasbro was to set up in one of BC's port towns instead how that would affect their transport costs which is one of the reasons our prices are higher. Save time and money having shipments backtracking over half the country.

Yeah, it's a treat when I go to the states... basically pay next to nothing in terms of figures. Thank you Canadian Dollar.
