A few interesting auctions have appeared on TaoBao today, namely some new, in package Minicons, based on the Cybertron Recon Team and Giant Planet Team, as well as Classics molds. We see some single carded Minicons, as well as new eight pack, similar to the shared exclusive 12-pack and 10-pack from the last two years. Interestingly, the 8-pack features multiple languages, making it likely this is European packaging. It is unknown if any of these are exclusives at this point, but as find out information, we'll keep you updated.

Check them out here:

Eight Pack, featuring Buckshot, Ironside, Barrel Roll, Iron Claw, Diveplane, Airlift, Heavy-Liftor, and Reachout

Pan-Handler? Swashplate? Who's coming up with these names?
Repaints of the Cyberrn Re-Con Minicon Team

Drivetrain: repaint of Cyb Reverb
Swashplate: repaint of Cyb Jolt
Brake-Neck: repaint of Cyb Sixspeed
Pan-Handler: repaint of Universe Demolitions Team Sledge

Anyway very cool. The box-set looks really nice.

More minicons to add to the Ranks.

If it really were my fault, the names used would be incredible...

I'd name them things like:

Doorknob
Irene
Finger
Alpert
Purple

At least the silliness of the names is now on par with the simplicity of Japanese Micron names.:P

Swashplate: repaint of Cyb Jolt
Brake-Neck: repaint of Cyb Sixspeed

Let me complete the list with the boxset:

Ironside: repaint of Demolitions Team Broadside
Barrel Roll: repaint of Clear Skies Team Thunderwing
Iron Claw: repaint of Dirt Digger Team Oil Slick
Buckshot: repaint of Night Rescue Team Firebot

Airlift: repaint of Cyb. Giant Planet Team Overcast

Reachout: repaint of Cyb. Giant Planet Team Longarm

Let me check the list of how many times each mold has been used already...

What's up with Swashplate's helicopter mode? It looks alright packaged, but the photo on the back is just absurd looking. Can his head/cockpit turn around?

It can. Mistransformations on packaging images is fairly common.

The thing I don't like about the names is the redundancy:

Iron Claw
Ironside

Airlift
Heavy-liftor

That said, I love the names Barrel Roll, Diveplane, Buckshot, Ironside, Iron Claw, and Brake-Neck.

Also, Brake-Neck would make a great Shattered Glass Crasher.

Drivetrain looks very similar to Guardian Powered, and Heavy-Liftor looks relatively close to Mighty Dozer.

Also, did anyone notice the text: "Mini-con robots are living power batteries for larger robots." That's awfully cruel, isn't it?

Did you know? A Pan Handle in the UK is also slang for a hard-on.

I wouldn't let this guy do any excavating anywhere near me! =;
