I Need a Little Help With Scourge and the Sweeps

It's been so long since I've watched any of the G1 episodes and I need a little help. I have four of the Generations Scourge mold and I need to know if the Sweeps had a distinct paint job. Is there a certain episode that shows them? I have no problem painting them myself.
I've searched google, but the pics with the Botcon figures always seem to pop up and they are definetly out of my price range.
I love collecting the toys but I seem to neglect the shows quite a bit.

The Sweeps all look identical to their commander, Scourge, which can be a pain when trying to replicate it in toy form: which one is the real Scourge again?
The same goes for Cyclonus and his Armada, coloring errors aside. Fortunately for him, the Universe mold has several decos for the same character, making it easier for army-building. What I do is use RtS Cyclonus as the real deal, and Universe Cyclonus for his Armada.

I was contemplating just paiting the white parts a light gray to give them at least some difference from the commander.

What you could do is get United Scourge and several Generations Scourges for the Sweeps. Me, I'm waiting for the inevitable repaint

I heard a rumor that the repaint of Scourge will be Ratbat. In which case, he probably won't be colors that resemble the Sweeps.

I would love to get one of the United ones but just not at the insane price they're going for right now. I already have the four Generations ones so I guess I'll just make due. Thanks for the imput anyways guys.

Damn, I'll have to give that a shot as I already own that. The trick now is finding where I stashed it at.

I painted my Scourge's leading edges blue all the way to the winglets (like the United release), and when they're in robot mode I leave the Sweeps' weapons uncombined.

I always thought they looked identical in the cartoon. Your plan of adding grey is a good one.

Those aren't bad ideas. Use RtS (or United) versions for the main (w/ Targetmaster partners) and Universe versions for the clones. This'll be expensive for sure but well worth the money.

If I could afford a United one, I'd do it, barring that, a targetmaster is a good option, or perhaps some minor paint adjustments. Personally, if using all Generations Scourges, I would keep the main one as is (with targetmaster partner) and then paint over the Deception symbol on the chests of the sweeps. Then, I'd give them a smaller logo somewhere else, kinda like the United version.
Also: Paint his eyes red!!!

I've pretty much decided on going the light gray way. Painting the eyes red would be ideal but I have pretty bad tremors in both arms which makes small details like that difficult. Having diabetes for 30 years and not taking the best care of myself for a while during my teenage years is a bitch.

Not to get off subjection but diabetes literally kills when you don't take care of yourself. I had a friend who had it and didn't take care of himself. Let's just say he died literally hacked to pieces starting w/ his feet. Don't know how much the doctors had to cut off him but it gets gruesome. I probably make it sound worse than it was but it's still enough to get me to think twice about not taking care of myself.
Anyways, I received my first Battle in Space Cyclonus. Waiting on the second one and also the Classics version of Cyclonus. Classics Cyclonus will serve as my Cyclonus, the Battle in Space versions will be the armada clones. I would like to figure some non-targetmaster weapon for the armada clones so I'm open to ideas.
I have so far gotten only one Scourge. I like the idea of moving the insignia for the clones and using a targetmaster for the General's weapon. I suck at custom paint apps, I just don't know enough about it.

That's funny, because it's the opposite of what I plan to do!
If you want a non-targetmaster weapon for the Armada guys, You could just leave one (or both) of their hands untransformed for a Megaman/Samus Aran arm-cannon type of weapon.
