Seibertron.com member cdavid3 has provided visual proof of not only a sighting, but his purchase of Year Of The Horse Optimus Prime! Please note that the price remains at $119.99, his purchase was cheaper due to a discount of some sort. (Whether or not this discount is available to all is unknown at this time.)

The purchase in question was made in Fremont, CA.

This figure is a redeco of the MP-10 mold, which was a TRU exclusive in 2012. The key differences here are:

- Gold chromed pieces
- Translucent trailer
- No Roller included

OH, right Year of the Horse! I forgot because...well, both of its big toys strike me as forgettable. Starscream's shown up at 2 of the 3 closest TRUs to me in MI, so it's about time for Op, who seems to be more eagerly anticipated.

That discount is deeper than the employee discount, so no insight there.

Sometimes TRU gives Rewards members online coupons for single item purchases. Could be that kind of promo. Especially being President's Day weekend and all.

I checked on the east coast today. Nothing yet.

In stock in Long Island CIty Toys R Us as of yesterday. I picked up one of the two they had in the back. I need to find the general thread on how others are feeling about this guy to leave my remarks there... but if you don't have a regular MP10 do not hesitate to go buy this figure. The colors are fantastic in person and as I told a transformers fan I correspond with it's almost like Prime had to go to a state event in a foreign country and was presented with a ton of gold leaf from his host and it would have been an insult for him not to put on the bling. Sure... it's loud, but as the figure is so much more elegant compared to MP01 let him adorn your shelf loud and proud.
