From the Instagram account of yummboyac new images of the recently revealed Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe and older model cab over style truck from the "Transformers 4" set in central Texas.

We also have a couple of images of the "old" Optimus Prime and Bumblebee vehicles loaded up for transport. The first was uploaded by Instagram user jameshues I-10 outside of LA, the second was uploaded by Instagram user patrikrice outside of Paramount studios.

More than likely he upgrades his look mid-film, so they'd have to keep the old truck around. What has me curious is that "Classic Optimus" style truck (sorry, don't know what type of truck that is :oops: ) that's all rusted over and what kind of role it has to play. Autobot? Decepticon? G1 reference for the sake of continuity porn? :-?

Just pure wishful thinking but what if that rusted old truck was Ultra Magnus? In Dark of the Moon, the Astronauts discover a TF head under the dirt that resembled Movie Prime. It was an offwhite colour and since G1 Magnus was a white version of Optimus, what if in this movie, the bot on the ship gets revived, turns out to be Magnus and becomes that truck. It could explain the banged out look of the truck. Anyway, just thinking out loud.

Since Baybots rarely look like their G1 counterparts, what if the black Lambo is Hot Rod? Give him a G1-esque face like Prime amd I'd be happy.

They probably are Autobots but it would be cool if they were Motormaster and Wildrider.

Apparently the old Truck is Galvatron.

I cannot provide an form of source or backing, so take it as you will.
Not surprising, considering Meg's last alt mode.

Just noticed that the rusty truck has a really faded flame decal on the door, that looks identical in design to the flames on the Peterbuilt Optimus. Could this be an Optimus before he scans the new truck? Or Magnus perhaps? :-?

I also noticed that the trailered Prime has clipped smokestacks for some reason

Is it possible The previous movie Prime and Bee are loaded up to ship to the Orlando Universal opening of Transformers the ride?

They are probably removed for shipping purposes, to clear bridges and power-lines, and will be reinstalled upon arrival of where ever they are headed.

I don't know why but that old version of Optimus makes me think they might be doing some time travel or something.

If not, I don't think that is an Optimus Prime prior to the Peterbuilt version since didn't he land in protoform in the first movie and then scan the truck that was on the hill? I will have to watch the first movie again to verify but I think that is the case.

You are correct, by new truck I was referring to the Western Star custom revealed a couple of weeks ago.
I think the trailered op and bee are most likely going to sone promotional event, as others have said, rather than being filmed as a flashback or an opening sequence before the new vehicles are scanned

Ding ding! We have a winner! 8-}

It was stated in the article that both Bee and Prime were merely being shipped for the grand opening of the new TF ride. As previously stated his stacks were removed for shipping purposes

So then how did you come to this conclusion?
