I'm thinking of doing a four prong tournament. I usually pay attention to three of four things in my mission. The number of kills I get, if I'm the last mech standing, if I get the last kill in, and the fourth would be first kill. Now, my idea is to make a tournament based on those four with a first, second, and third prize all involving a "cash" prize for each.

We Have

1) First Kill

2) Last Kill

3) Survival of the Fittest

4) Most Kills

This will be a week long tournament and you can win as many of the categories as possible. There is a high chance that our pal Mog will make ribbons for first place in each. All missions will count for this except if you are the only mech in them. I don't know the cash amounts so I'm asking for suggestions. I'm also seeking three individuals who are willing to help out with this so we would each only have one category to keep track of for this. Those who volunteer will still be eligible to win. Depending on the cash amounts, I might need some help with distrubuting it. If you want to volunteer your bank but not help keep track of the categories, that is fine as well. Right now I think this will go on starting Monday Oct 20-Friday 24.

Do you really need someone to keep track of each category? Seems to me that each person participating should be keeping track of their own stuff, and posting the relevant missions. Then, a couple of us can double check the logs to make sure they weren't posted in error. I can help with that.

Seeing as how a lot of us don't have a lot of energon yet, we probably ought to keep the prizes small(ish), maybe in the 500 energon range. Just my suggestion.

I have around 50k in energon but I figured four categories, four volunteers but if you all think we need only one more person, I'm up for that.

I'm down. I always enjoy a tourny. Also, i have around 80k, so i believe i would be willing to donate about 20-25k to the winning pot.

I'm game. I can help in any way needed. I've got a little over 100k energon. You might could do kinda like an entry fee to play? Say everybody who wants to play can enter maybe 1000 (just throwing a number out there). Then you could do the top 3 get winnings. Something like 1st place gets 50% of total entry fees, 2nd gets 30% and 3rd gets 20%. Of course then at the end a few ppl would have to pay part or all of their fee to one of the winners. It wouldnt' be that hard to figure that part out.

After some thought, I have came up with a price range for the prizes.

First Place = 5,000
Second Place = 3,000
Third Place = 2,000

This is for all four categories. If Rat Convoy is still willing, I will take him on as my partner. All we need to do is figure out who is taking which categories. As Rat did suggest, you will post your links here so Rat Convoy and I can verify them. Each player will keep a running total but so will we. You might also find a daily post of who is in the lead. The only rule is that suicide missions don't count ie only one Maximal in the mission. The rest is fair game.

I think the teammates thing was the other tournament, but that one didn't get off the ground. I imagine Sumo will pick a starting mission when he's ready to go.

Also, so everyone knows, AZ and I are starting to plan a Pred/Maximal tourney, hopefully coming up soon.

As Rat Convoy said, this is everyone for themselves. Hopefully the four categories are self explanatory and if not, feel free to ask. I just put my troops into missions and I will go hunt down the earliest one and post it even if it isn't done. Once the first mission is posted, then the "flag" will drop.

A quick clarification on Most Kills. It is the most kills in a mission. The one with the most missions of that nature will win. Sorry for any unsaid confusion because I had the same trouble myself.

That one is only an example of first kill. You had less kills than Sky-Fire (even though he was an opposing bot) and an opposing bot got the last kill.

Ahh ok, I was thinking we only compared amongst our own faction. Thanks. I'll go back and double check all my other kills.

When you look at your missions, compare your mech against only fellow MAXIMALS. As for ties with most kilks, they don't count. I've had one where it was a three way split with two kills each. The first and last kill can be the same if there was only one mech killed. It may also qualify for most kills. In theory, you could get all four categories in a single mission if you are the last mech standing at the end of the mission and still get the other three.

BTW, I'm paying for all of the prizes and that is why the prizes are what they are. Hopefully it will help whoever wins the categories.

Since I haven't been on here for most of the weekend, as usual, the end time will be Tuesday Oct 28 at 5PM US Central time. For those who have problems with the time zones like I do, that is 6PM Eastern, 4PM Mountain, and 3PM Pacific. If we have any European\asian players, I hope you can figure out the time. The Energon will be distributed on Oct 29 so that will give Rat Convoy and myself plenty of time to varify everything.

Tick Tock you have 25 minutes at this writing. Any missions posted after 5pm will NOT count. If you been saving them for whatever the reason, get to it.

This will be the last mission to count.

Sorry for being a lazy butt and severly distracted but I finally paid the prizes to those who won them. Hopefully the energon came at a time that you needed it.
