Only if you can find one that uses Trypticon as a therapy figure.

Please, you wanna talk sad? Finding Transformers I don't have yet in some weird huge store is a recurring dream for me; the only recurring dream I ever have. Eventually I got so used to it that I started second-guessing to check if I was in a dream, but then my subconscious caught up with me and started saying "nope you're not in a dream this is normal" whenever my conscious mind started to catch on.

Last night's iteration involved me finding TR Arcee and... get this... half of PotP Slash. Just her legs, sitting there on the store shelf, and dream me was totally ready to buy them. And you think you need to see a psychiatrist :P

As for Trypticon, I had a hell of a time putting his stickers on (twice, might I add, thanks to his achy breaky hips). I don't regret it in the slightest, but I would not do it again. As awesome as the Reprolabels look (and they do look awesome), my Trypticon is fine as he is; if I wanna spend 8 hours doing precision work on a robot, I have some Evangelion model kits to assemble.

No, you should go see a friend or family member that has enough $$$ to afford get you Trypticon for your birthday.

Follow your dreams...

Urgh... This bring me back some painful childhood memories. As a child, my family was pretty poor. So having any toys was a small miracle. One night, I just got a Transformers Omega Supreme! (It was the 1980's so it was the G1). I was so happy that my Optimus Prime FINALLY had a friend! I played with him all night and he was so BIG!
...
...Then I woke up... :-(

To this day, I still never had a G1 Omega Supreme. Maybe it's time to get one. :-?

90% of adulthood is getting what you didn't get as a child.

Do it.

Nope, paying the price for all the stupid stuff you did in your teens and early twenties. Usually in the form of knee and/or back pain.

Been there, done that. 20 years of eating garbage led me to obesity and diabetes. It took around a year and a half to lose 100lbs and to be CURED of diabetes. At 41, I'm now fit and sexy!

Also, G1 Omega Supreme will be MINE. Reissue or original. :michaelbay:

I think it's back or somebody is selling it for Amazon retail. Question, if I buy it now will I get a figure from a production run that fixed all the issues?

I don't know if there's any way to guarantee it, but I'd say as time goes on it's more and more likely that any new Trypticon bought will be from a later fixed batch. Since I'm sure Trypticon is well out of production now and all stock is probably at least to some supplier or another, now would probably be as good a chance as any time from here onward.

You know, other than the chest door being a bit warped, mine had no flaws as far as I could tell. Hips were fine but scared the heck out of me as they do sound rather loud when moved and did initially take a lot of force to move. But they are fine and the figure has withstood it's share of being bumped into and moved around and they didn't give at all(not too lose, not too tight and holding him up in desired position). I got it from BBTS. Never did see it again in TRU although oddly enough I did find some for sale in a shop at the mall(really off the wall place I can't even remember the name of).

Anybody wants the batch number, ask and I'll go dig the box out.

The most issues that I have with Trypticon are the wings keep on popping off! anyone else have the same issue?

I'm pretty sure mine is assembled correctly too (I remember the wings seeming to fold away and peg in fine) but I'll check and clarify when I get home, just to make sure.

Speculation: Possible Titan Class Gigastorm Sneak Peek

Here's some speculation fuel for you: preparing the latest news post about Hasbro Stories, I found myself drawn to a screencap to use as thumbnail, one among many, featuring Transformers toys in the shot. The one I settled on features Trypticon - the Titans Return Titan class figure, successor to Metroplex and Fortress Maximus - and what looks like an off-colour version of the same figure, next to an Optimal Optimus (which may or may not be from the Power of the Primes toyline, as seen here)

Image

The image is fuzzy and hazed, but we can take a closer look at the pieces in question, and the colour scheme on the second Trypticon - could it possibly be a repaint to homage the Beast Wars II character of Gigastorm..? Or is it simply a colour test prototype of the regular release of the toy we've already received? Take a look for yourselves, and join the highly speculative discussion in the Energon Pub!

A non-final color test shot is more likely, as the colors don't really match up to Gigastorm at all: he's merely a darker version with a scale-like deco. Not to mention, figures that involve retooling are usually from existing figures, with the newly tooled parts switched in.

Wait until we see the horn, then we'll talk :)

I'm not sure this is a test shot, seeing as Full-tilt aint nowhere to be seen. And I'm sure they have to recoup the production costs somehow.

Due to those colours, the first thing I thought was Beast Wars Galvatron since he also had some weird ass kaiju mode.
