I don't mind them reverse milking a mode by releasing the offbeat character deco before the one the fan base really wants. sentinel and megatron are definite passes. At least I know I will probably own those moulds when the more desirable decos get out and not suffer the remorse of missing out.
Sentinel, megatron and now Optimus prime are all definite passes. Astrotrain blitzwing and now octane 2.0 will definitely make it to the collection.
What bothers me is someone like prime who though we are used to an over abundance of releases has come to a bit of a ridiculous point with combiner wars, powermaster prime, and now laser prime released so close to each other. Pffft. Oh well the more they release the better I guess.
Undecided regarding hot rod. Six shot is more awesome than I could've hoped for. From the original leaked artwork I couldn't tell he'd even be a stix changer so yep.
But kickback.... Finally I can have a complete insect icons teaaaaam. Hurrah.

I don't think the plkane mode looks bad at all. I mean, it definitely couldn't fly, but how many plane modes in Transformers or most mecha Anime look like they could fly, anyway? It just looks like an average mecha series plane mode or Ultraman jet to me.

I'm not keen on Optimus' plane mode, perhaps if the wings were longer and further forward it would look better, but as it is it looks awkward. I'm impressed with very other reveal though, Hot Rod and Kickback will be bought on sight (I'll need to grab a Thrilling 30 Shrapnel and Combiner Wars Bombshell at some point too), Fangry and Ptero look great, and while Sixshot's alt modes do look a bit weird (visible beast mode head on the submarine) most of them look G1 accurate so I imagine a lot of fans will love it.

Fangry: Woo! a Wilder to join Cancer and Bullhorn for the full masterforce decepticon junior squad. A better looking beastie mode than any of the other titan masters so far IMO. Or at least more faithful.
Ptero: Neat? I feel like he's missing the obligatory command horn dealie of your traditional swoop. Good vehicle mode, but doesn't really fit anywhere for me, so he's an easy Pass
KICK-EFFING-BACK: About GOD DAMN TIME. I'm a little sceptical of the bot mode, but this is an absolute instant buy. Nice of hasbro to listen to my responses in the feedback survey from Auto Assembly last year!
Hot Rod: Neat. Not WOW AMAZING, but definitely a better effort than the current classics deluxe mold. Will definitely pick him up. Might hold out for a takara version in a nice magenta if that surfaces at any point.
Octanimus Prime:
Gorgeous. I really like Octane as a character and I'm dying for this to get a good retool into him. I will probably skip the Prime version, as there's not really a slot for it in my collection. Doesn't tick the right boxes for me. Still looks like a brilliant figure. I would definitely pick it up in a RiD scourge or a Lazer Prime decco.
I might have been more convinced to pick it up if it didn't totally miss the opportunity for a handsome nod to action master prime in the jet mode decco.
Six Shot:
SOLID looking. The original was already a really well proportioned figure. This looks like it's just more of the same, but with more articulation. Though it does look slightly less sturdy than the original, at least to my eyes, but that's probably a judgement best held over until I have him in hand. Which I will definitely be doing!
older reveals:
Megatron: Needs more silver paint. Whether I repaint him myself though is entirely dependent on what takara offers up in terms of decco. Literally cannot figuratively wait for the inevitable blitzwing.
Bumbles: Cool. Major repaint mileage potential, but will definitely replace the FOC styled bee currently residing on my '84 CHUG autobot shelf.
Gnaw: I'm going to be buying at LEAST 3 of those mischeivous looking little buggers.
Lione: Instabuy for his Steeljaw homage mode. Love the obscure headmasters character reference of the head mode. What's not to love here.
Overboard: Instabuy for obscure soundwave tape homage. Will look killer sitting next to FOC Soundblaster & Masterpiece Ratbat on the old Headmaster Era Decepticon shelf.
All-in-All TR is shaping up to be an absolute wallet destroyer of a line. Every mold has looked fantastic and has been another "OOH I NEED HIM" moment. I have actually been motivated to reorganise my shelves ahead of time for all the junk I intend to buy.
Though that said, I could do without the wallet pain. At least Combiner wars had a fair few 'Take it or leave it' figures to give me a moment to catch my breath financially. But so far there's a list of 9 deluxes, 6 voyagers, 2 leaders, at least 8 titan masters, 6 legends figures and another god damn titan on the horizon that I want, and I need to find the money for. why dont these official image dumps ever show pics of the TitanMaster class figures in bot mode or anything of their vehicles? kinda annoying to just get the mugshot.
