TakaraTomy has the same idea, as Sling(shot) is Firefly/Fireflight with a new head. But indeed, TRU listings with "Slingshot" and "Wildrider" have been found, suggesting that they'll be TRU exclusives pending the announcement of the 4th team for the year.

Fun thoght: fourth combiner could be a sort of zombie team with slingshot, Wildrider and two others with cyclonus as a torso. So slingshot could still be dead and still get a figure

This is actually my only serious issue with Alpha Bravo: the idea that disliking Alpha Bravo is indicative of a person simply being butthurt or a Geewunner or whatever other totally impotent pseduo-retorts are brought up because someone has decided to like something old more than they like something brand new.
I think it's stupid that this is what we all too often stoop to, **** flinging and name calling because someone hasn't unquestioningly thrown in with the new thing. I think it's embarrassing, and it happens with everything these days. You don't like the new show/movie/toy/character/comic/product/manufacturing process? BUTTHURT LOLOLOLOLOLOLO.

For all of the blind support he gets, Alpha Bravo hasn't actually done anything to establish himself as a character that people are actually supposed to like or get attached to. "Yo Wheeljack" or whatever his singular line of dialogue in the comics has been is Bay movie-tier characterization, so other than just being a not-jet Arialbot, he doesn't have a whole lot of positive things stacked up in his favor. I don't care that he's not a jet, but I'd rather have whatever the old guys' name was because I think that would make Superion look better, and I would personally like that better.

I expect alpha Bravo to get more fleshed out, surely it wouldn't of escaped hasbros notice that a lot of fuss has come out of alpha.

Dagons, the fact you forgot slingshots name shows how much you remember him :lol:

I still think your doing yourself a disservice by not getting alpha Bravo, he is a fantastic figure plus just think of him and powerglide as the sixth and seventh ariealbots

no reason him and slingshot can't coexist peacefully.

I actually will most likely end up getting AB. The combiner wars deluxes are show quality that Hasbro hasn't bothred with in years.

It strikes me as funny that I find putting AB on superion horrendously immoral, but have no issues with off road. :-?

I've had Alpha Bravo for close to two months, and he's actually my favorite of the Arialbot limbs, stand alone figure wise. I've always mixed up Arialbot names because they aren't really a team that I care much about, but Slingshot still would have been my preference for an updated Superion.
No, there is no reason that the two guys can't coexist. If only fans of Alpha Bravo could deal with the concept that some people would have preferred or do prefer Slingshot over some out of nowhere new guy. I don't have a horse in the race, I just want good toys. I just think it's embarrassing that everyone feels the need to fight about it and that both sides feel somehow superior to the other by acting like this actually matters in the long run.

I like Alpha Bravo. He's a nice addition to the Aerialbots and adds variety to the Combiner War line. That way, not everyone on the team is a jet

For monetary reasons, I'm not going to get any of the combiners, but I really am considering getting Alpha Bravo. I like the look of the figure and the "controversy" surrounding him has endeared him to me.

You should get the combiners. It's a great line and I prefer them over the RiD figures

Well, if you want a cynical answer, Alpha Bravo exists to make easy retools. Vortex, Blades, and possibly Blast Off can come from one mold. Saves Hasbro money and gives us more combiners down the line.

More personally, I was born into the age of Beast Wars. I have no strong connection to G1. Slingshot is just a name to me, so don't really care if he's not a part of the team this time around. The mere fact that they're giving us functional combiners that aren't crap (*cough* FoC Bruticus *cough*) is amazing in of itself. Who cares if they don't have their "proper" team members?

(Evidently a lot of people but not the point)

Guess I'm saying that I like and already bought Alpha Bravo, and would like to submit my application to the Alpha Bravo Fan Club.

To be honest, I'm already planning on Blades thanks to my love for Defensor, and given my love for helicopters in general, I may end up getting both :lol:
