Not that I'm a mod and able to decide such things, but I should think a lock is only necessary if a thread is getting out of control and cannot be reigned in. (Or if a thread is continuously necro-bumped for no legitimate reason.)

In a case where a thread has just run its course, it will die a natural death as people stop posting in it and new threads push it further down the list of topics.

Looks like I missed everything. The crying, the hugging, the cake, all of it! Two things I want to add:

1) I'm sorry. I'm personally sorry. I know I was a dick and even though some things you posted, okay, a lot of things you posted frustrated me, I was still a dick. Sorry.

2) I am always down for a good scale discussion and there are plenty of things that aren't in scale but there are plenty of scales too. And scale doesn't always make sense even when it's in scale! If something doesn't scale to your liking, find a reference pick of them in the scale that you mean and link it to your comment. I do it all the time and a picture is worth a thousand words.

My favorites:
Pow-Pow-Powerwheels Cliffjumper

Hoist: "No one will believe any of this back at base!"
Huffer: "I don't believe it and you're leaning out my window!"

Ones in scale and one isn't and neither makes any sense but seeing it helps.
