Cary's TF Collection and Photos - An Actual Collection Update!
And now for something completely on topic; an actual collection update.
So I've been re-arranging the collection as I have time and the willingness. So I just moved all the combiner teams to a new shelf. I've been trying to figure out how I wanted to display them and then it hit me - in teams.
Anyway, how 'bout some pics? Took them this morning in a rush with a mix of bad overhead lighting, some natural lighting and cellphone. I hastily used GIMP to lighten up the pics a bit.

Ignore the ceiling fan blade, the AC decided to kick on and blow it in my way constantly.

Team Superion

Team Defensor

Team Comprimer

Team Bruticus

Team Menasor
I'm pretty happy with the groupings. If they fit, I may try them out on the shelf below, one group per cubby.
So I picked up Prime: Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising: Skylynx on a whim the other day. It's a really cool figure. I love the molding, the colors and the raging dragon vibe he's giving off. So I had this styrofoam insert laying around that my whisky shipped in and decided I could use it as a display for something. Turns out it works great. Now all I need to do is try and make it look more stone pillar like and take some proper pics.

ROAR!
I think the pose and display option turned out looking really boss. You can see my Takara Oni figures below him. I would still like to complete the Oni set. Judora is an easy pick up from amazon, but Bakudora hovers just out of my price range - one day, Bakudora, one day!

I ignored 90% of Prime, but Lynx was sitting around when we still had Target and I waffled a lot on him. I passed him up and regret it now

Of that mold I feel Lynxy has the sharpest deco, he also happens to be pretty cheap on the bays of e theses days. I do have an urge to get all the variations of all the predacons and make an army for General Megasharktitron to command!

Yeah, I picked up the Beast Hunters Sky Lynx on clearance at Target, and I really like him. Yes, the transformation is probably too simple, but he looks darn cool.

Glad you liked it. I fight with getting Mirage to look cool with the reverse grip and his limited articulation. I'm loving that Skylynx dragonformer. I have an extra piece of styrofoam to experiment on to try and make it stone like. But now I gots the wants for the rest of the predaconsCobotron wrote:Love that pose that Mirage is in. It is real mi amigo. fortunately I was ok with dividing up the combiners between shelves and making Lost Lightatron and Magnaboss from the 2 sets of limbs that truly could go anywhere.
And my Mom just can't seem to understand why I enjoy just standing and staring at my shelves. It's just awesome to look at transformers and admire them

MEGASHARKTITRON!!!
So Will has yet again inspired me to snap a few pics, whats up with that anyway?
Much like I've been gushing on his thread, I love some Sharkticon Megatron (or as my first release box listed just "Megatron" with Tartarex Warp Sword aka the Tartar Sauce Sword and as a bonus those shipped with swapped shoulder pauldrons). Quite a few trips to the store were made looking for this guy. I love the crazy colors and beastie tooling. The sword gun thing is nuts and man, that shark jumping alt mode! So with that said, here's a couple pics.

So, I've been working on a headcanon where Megasharktitron is some kinda of post apocalyptic mutant warlord that leads a motley crew of other Mad Max looking bots with a horde of Predacons in tow. Then I decided that Megs has a pet dragon Predacon (which kinda makes sense) and this pic happened.

So while I was assembling his current squad of warriors it hit me. You might even be able to call it an epiphany. It's not Megatron that leads these ruthless rogues, it's Starscream! After merging with a Sharkticon, Megatron is more beast than bot and has been relegated to just being the muscle.

Now I can't not see a dumb look on Megatron's face. I bet he may even be drooling
So how about some mo Megatron?!? ok

I just love DE Megs. Such a lovely and wicked deco figure. I was looking at DE Prime and kinda fell in love with him. So you know what that means, I gots to get the rest
Throw back Thursday - end this post on a random pic with no explanation or description.

Sharkticon Megatron is a really awesome figure. I have him and he is cool to look at (mine has some legs issues, so he's not as fun as he could be).
Is that Iron Man Mk I?
Also, I know the feeling about wanting completeness. I have been in a major animated swing lately and I feel the urge to hunt down Ratchet, Optimus and Bulkhead to add to my Prowl and Bee to make the whole team...

He does look cool with all those beasty bits sculpted on, and the colors are cool.
:Head Canon:
Meg's is the battle muscle berserker because of his inner conflict. Knowing who he is inside, but not being able to overcome his new beastly instincts. He also wants to tear apart Starscream for usurping and demoting him. He channels all that rage and confusion into laying down a heavy blanket of carnage on the battle field.
