So i'm wondering if a 3rd party company will try to create a mixmaster head & sell it to fans.

I havent tried, but i seems like there is a slot where the head is supposed to fit into the chest. Should be as simple as unscrewing the chest, inserting the head, and screwing it back.

Is it my eye or Encore Devastator mouth looks different from the original? I'm comparing his mouth to my Cybetronian Guide book. This remind me of Reissue Jazz mouth.

There must have been some repairs to the mold. And yes, my vintage Dev has a different set of "lips" on his "head" module.

I had my supplier for Encore 20 check one from his stock, all heads accounted for.

looks like this might just be a bad batch in singapore making the rounds.

Yes, buy him!!! For a G1, he's a great looking brick. :lol:

Besides, he probably won't be getting another reissue for at least the next 5 years, so buy now, regret later. :lol:

If you are buying it in-stores, its better to check. I went to the store aware of the problem, but the owner did not allow me to open the sets, but he promised a head if it's missing. So i guess the heads should be coming in by December.

I've just been in contact with BBTS. They seem reluctant to check my set, but they are saying they're 'not sure that their Japanese version of this is involved with the problem'. I told them I'm okay with them opening it, I guess I'll see what they say.

BBTS put a comment in their email newsletter that they opened a bunch of these and all the ones they opened had heads.

From what I hear, they are pretty good with customer service. I am sure if there are any issues, they will take care of it.

Ah, I missed that comment in the newsletter. They are willing to check mine before I ship my loot, but I won't be shipping for at least a month... I just hope they aren't sold out by that time or something and thus unable to exchange, but I know they're good with customer service. Worst case scenario I track down a junker. TBH it'll stay in robot mode most of the time anyway.

Luckily mine arrived today with a full head count so no un-screwing required.

On the whole I'm very pleased with the quality, I've not noticed any moulding or quality defects. Certainly much better than the encore combaticons.

Just 2 minor complaints. Firstly the positioning of mixmasters rub symbol - mine is mashed already as it covers the hole for connecting in Devy mode. I have therefore re-positined it to the side under the firing switch. Secondly some of the small robot weapons are reluctant to go into their masters hands.

All in all very pleased, can't wait for my original G1 defensor gift-set to turn up so I can display them before the Christmas deco takes over.

That darn rub symbols always gets in the way. Same with the way the rub symbol was positioned in the Japanese vintage Meister.

I just peeled it off, and stuck it on the roof of the truck. Well mine's kinda messed up and dented. But reprolabels offers identicle rub-signs

Any issues, due to me or BBTS, have always been taken care of really quick by them. Jessica and Rita are really nice and quick with response time. I love shopping there, myself..... :KREMZEEK:

Just got Mixmaster's "head"...

Actually, Takara was nice enough to provide a WHOLE Mixmaster figure, and not just the head :KREMZEEK:

So now i have 1 headless Mixmaster, and a complete one. I leave the headless one in Devy mode, and display the complete on separately in bot mode.

BTW, anyone knows how to open the coin? It seems stuck in it's package and i don't want to tear it :-(

I can't wait to get mine. I believe my wife has it at her parent's house. She usually ships my presents there so I won't sneak around and find them. And she said a box arrived there for her, so............ MERGE FOR THE KILL!!

Just received mine from amiami. No coin but complete. Mixmaster has his head on.

It seems that this snafu might have been isolated for the Asia release. As gavinfuzzy stated, his unit came with a coin........lucky for you they actually replaced the entire unit and not request you to ship the defective part back. :APPLAUSE:
