Back when they were the only one on the market doing these large gestalt toys the staggered news worked fine, but open market competition is a bad place to keep secrets about you product. I mean, the second piece is about to come out and we still haven't seen the whole thing together? Honestly.

But yeah. I'll wait until the whole thing is available.

We've seen what the combined mode looks like - is that what you mean?

From TFW:

The upper half looks pretty good, I just can't stand those legs...

Thats actually not what I mean, that picture isn't anything more than a not-terrific photoshop. What I'm looking for is a picture, or even news at this point, of the fully combined Ares. TFC hasn't released any news regarding the last two members.

...To my knowledge.

I haven't seen a full shot of the complete combined mode with all 5 members, either.

I threw my hat into the MMC ring long ago, but I take your point to heart - it's hard for TFC to compete when customers have a really good idea of what the competition is like, but can't put a finger on what TFC is trying to get at.

I agree with what's being said. TFC should have shown their full hand early with these guys. I think they might lose a little money here.

like the TFC Predaking head and Ramhorn mold better than the MMC versions. kinda wish the TFC and MMC Predacons toys were the same scale. Also had the same combiner technology. So I could mix and match between the TFC and MMC predacons toys. to create my preferred Predaking.

The only thing. I dislike about TFC Predaking,Is Razorclaw. It looks like the toy was ruined by bumping it up a scale or Two to leader scale. Don't like the lion mane on TFC Razorclaw.

Can see why some might select TFC Ares instead of MMC Feral Rex. Both toys seem to be evenly matched. As far as equal negatives and positives go.

I bought TFC's Razorclaw & honestly, I wasn't very happy with him. Sure, he is really big but he also felt pretty hollow & quite unstable(may have just been an issue with mine.) I do like the look of this combined mode though. I'm going to wait until the other 4 members are out before possibly investing them too. I need the combined mode to feel more like Herc & less like Uranos for me to finish the team.

Man, those hands look awesome, and is it just me, or does that hand have 2 thumbs, one on each side?

It's not just you. He's a 6 fingered hot mess.

My favorite part of this Rampage is that he can be a power core combiner commander.

Whoah, that's awesome! So I can have my Predaking with 4 thumbs, making him look even more monstrous :)!

Yeah, I'm definitely digging this thing more and more as further details are revealed. I can't wait to see the rest of the bots in all their color, modes and glory.

Would making the hands interchangeable save on parts count or cost? That's the only explanation I can think of.

Me too. I actually like the idea on its aesthetic rather than cost-saving merits - 6 fingers per hand does make Predaking seem more animalistic and monstrous.

Yeah, they're most likely on a ball joint so you can probably just pop one of em' off.

I probably won't though, cuz' I'm digging it and I may also need that extra thumb to get him to properly hold the UT not-Predaking sword I just bought for him (that TFC Fisher Price orange sword is the one thing I really don't did about this set, though MMC's isn't much better as it looks like those lame broadswords you'd see in old Looney Toons shows apparently).

Hey there, don't bash the MMC sword! Some of us appreciate an awesomely massive sword like MMC's. Plus, the fact that it's integrated all the individual 'Cons melee weapons is a great bonus (for those of us who like that sort of thing).

UT's sword looks good, but it's just an accessory. MMC's sword is truly part of the gestalt.

To make this post slightly relevant: Ares' sword is just plain un-inspired, IMO.

Ugh...I hate those stupid spikes on the sides of the fists. UT did that too. Im so glad MMC didnt put them. And 6 fingers ? Really ??? Well Im sure TFC will do a Bestiality upgrade set with proper hands, sword, and a better gun. But this set is TFCs biggest fail.

I just don't like those broadswords that get wider as you go towards the tip. It looks silly to me is all.

As for TFC's sword, I agree completely. It sucks. It's a long orange hunk of suck on a stick :P.

But yeah, UT's sword looks better than the rest and that's what Ares will be holding on my shelf :).
