Glad to hear the single tactic alt modes are getting a second tactic.

It might come as a shock to you all, but I kinda like Ultra Magnus. I would have stuck with his Alt mode but could not progress in the game (and stay competitive) with just the ability to Ram.

Which is pretty much the main reason Psychout's doing this. More so if we some how manage to get level 12 (and possibly even 13) introduced (coding required), that would leave a big discrepancy.

And hey, if people still want single tactic then they don't have to put anything into the second tactic.

I like the idea of adding another tactic to some of the single tactic alts. It opens up variety so everyone is not using the same alt all the time.

It was only the 2 6-10 missions that I altered Steve, I left the rest of them so the level 6s didn't get destroyed in every mission, and to keep the Inferno theme intact.

Thanks guys, glad you like the change.

Now we know there are no lasting issues with the Weapon, keep an eye on the Gadget, Hovercraft and (a few of you have asked for this) Heavy Vehicle over the next few days

ok ya got me on the gadget
why not just put heavy vehicle into heavy rescue vehicle group or heavy assault :-?

hovercraft seems a good repair candidate
and same for the walker vehicle :lol:

Probably the same reason weapons weren't folded into one of the strafe/repair alt mode lists. I blame the Code.

A lot of my favorite alts have single tactics and as I'm reaching higher levels I'm realizing I'll never get most of my cons to level 11. Slow roll out of extra tactics for solo tactic modes is welcome. If I have to reset to get the new tactics I'd like to know because saving for armor is tough for me still.

You shouldn't need to reset to activate the second tactic. If you look at the help section it will tell you what stats you need to unlock it, and then you just put the points in and away you go.

There will be plenty more single to double updates over the next few months so keep checking if you don't see the one you want just yet.

*wwhhhaaa* i do no such thing. i just happen to enjoy resetting my characters when new alts become available. that just so happens to coincide when you choose to place the new ones in >:oP

New update time!!

Following up on the changes to the Weapon (+Repair), Gadget (+Strafe), Hovercraft (+Strafe) and Heavy Vehicle (+Repair) alt classes to dual-tactic, the next round of changes will be made today...

Light Vehicle is gaining Strafe
Tough Insect & Helpful Insect are gaining Avoid
Walker Vehicle is gaining Ram

And, as a special reward from CfC, ready for round 4,
Dragon is gaining BITE.

These will be implmented over the next few hours and just like last time, if you already have an alt of the updated class you only need to to put points in the unlocking stat to use it, there should be no resetting required.

I've had a lot of thoughts on this.

Why bother...
I've not heard from Burn for so long I think might be dead... (He's not. Probably.)

But yes, I'll get back on this. It may not make a huge difference to the game, but even though a lot of the players have slowed down due to the coronapocalypse, messy real lives and other media being far easier and more immediately rewarding to play, we all still love this game and for some of us its coming up to 20 years we have been playing it.

I still have all of the spreadsheets I made for it so I'll take a look and see what I can still update for you.
