Nice! I hope BBTS gets Computron in...

Certainly not bad at all. Still does nothing for the individual bot modes, but for a Computron this works very nicely and goes to show just how far a new head would have gone on this guy. I also kind of like how it ends up creating a silhouette reminiscent of the original toy's wonky body proportions.

Did anyone here ever get around to testing out PC-12 (Computron hands/feet) with Victorion? I've seen her with PC-09 (Bruticus hands/feet) and I'm really liking it but I wanna see how the red compares.

It's not actually red; rather, more of a brown color.Kurona wrote:Did anyone here ever get around to testing out PC-12 (Computron hands/feet) with Victorion? I've seen her with PC-09 (Bruticus hands/feet) and I'm really liking it but I wanna see how the red compares.

I've got both Vicky and the Computron hands/feet. Let me see if I can snap a couple of pics....

I just realised that the gun forms of the PC-01 feet are identical to the gun being held here (MTMTE 20 spoilers).
So... yay, unintended extra playability!

Okay, the first post of several upcoming showcasing the PE stuff. First, wile I like Grand Galvatron as a concept, sort of, I didn't like the UW Grand Galvatron Cyclonus. And I didn't think the limbs looked good on Hasbro's Cyclonus. Plus, Battle Ops OP is more of a Nova Prime homage (or others too) and that seemed fitting for the limbs of Grand Galvatron. So, I give you cross dimension Nexus Maximus Nova Prime with kidnapped limbs...or something....

That is PE's Fort Max Sword (which is far too big for Cerebus to wield...) I really like how this looks sitting on my desk. I cannot fit him into my head canon, at this time anyway, so he'll just be an awesome stand-alone figure...
Next, someone had asked how the Computron colored hands and feet looked on Victorion. Well...

They are okay, but the colors match nothing on Vicky. Instead, I prefer the extra pair of Bruticus hands and feet I ordered.
And in a related photo, someone had asked how the height comparison is on Victorion with stock hands and feet, and the PE hands and feet. Well, I wasn't going to buy two of Vicky, but here she is with Defensor, who is a close approximation to the height gained with PE add-ons.

I definitely prefer the PE add-ons. There is also more flexibility in ankle tilting.
I think that is it for now. I will have some pics of both PE Computron add-ons on either CW or UW Computron. I just have to decide which I like better as individual robot modes and which as full Computron.

I... maybe it's just the lighting, but I surprisingly find myself liking that. The colours don't match at all, of course - but they look a little like rust, at least in this picture. That kinda matches up well with their backstory and Pyra Magna's power. This has gotten me all conflicted...

So I finally got to play with my Computrons....
Here's the three Scattershot torsos for comparison. The PE torso set is on the Hasbro Boxset Scattershot. See if you can tell the difference between the two pics...

That's right, the PE set comes with two faces! Just in case you want to preserve the mouthplate.
And now, finally, here's my definitive Computron. This is not because I prefer the Hasbro set. I wanted Scrounge, but I think the Takara UW set looks better as individual bots. The full gestalt wasn't that different between UW and CW, except for Scrounge, IMO.

Well, it's a cute little figure and improves the figure... a LITTLE bit...

But for the same price as the previous PE kits? That's not an easy purchase.

First I'm going to re-post this:
Then I'm going to continue the discussion from the Takara Tomy Legends thread because it wasn't on topic there:
No, you're wrong, look again. The front of the truck cab is covered the same way it is on Powermaster Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus. There's a large piece that swings up and covers the front of the cab shaped like a football goal post. It covers the sides, horizontal middle, and grill of the truck mode. Ginrai is sitting on it in the pic above.

Looking closer it seems the cover is in three parts, the center and both side "windows". The windows sections look like they can be popped off and are still kept so I wonder if they can sit up there on the chest without support? And what do you do with them in trailer mode? Hope they have a good way to fill in the connection spots or else it'll look incomplete.

How is this even possible? It's not as easy as removing the cab and replacing it with a transforming one, the portion of the trailer that covers the cab would also have to be removed or somehow covered up which I don't think will look as clean as the silhouette looks.
Emerje
Actually it is.
As with Magnus and TR PMOP the cab is a separate piece, simply held in place by a single screw under the trailer. There's nothing attaching it to the trailer above it, and the transformation sequence means removing it leaves a big hole in the robot mode chest to be filled by the new Cab, which likely will be able to be removed, and folded up into a cube much like the original PMOP did.
Remove the Cab, place the new transforming one in its place and you are done. No pieces left to meddle with or cover up.The problem is they blacked out a large portion of the part that covers the cab
What large portion? The chest piece only covers the sides of the cab. Everything in the middle of the chest is part of the cab.

Dammit, PE! *checks into selling a kidney....again....*
This looks pretty darn cool. The only thing I am slightly down on is the big wheel on the upper arm, but I suppose they had to do something with that. I also like what looks like a throwback to the G1 toy in the transformation. It looks like the bot chest faces the back in truck mode, very similar to the G1 toy. This also gives the chest area a very similar feel. I like it. Really, depending on the price... At this point I have the Hasbro TR PMOP, the Takara Ginrai, and am planning on getting the Hasbro box sets coming out. I will have plenty of choices on inserting this guy.
Just when I think I am done purchasing 3P stuff, they suck me back in...
[Edit] Wait...how is that huge cab going to fit into the trailer armor... I need more pics. Plus, is their Ginrai figure going to attach to the front of the cab? Wondering minds need to know!!

This earlier picture shows both the cab fitting in (albeit, in black silhouette) and their Ginrai figure attaching to the front of the chest:
And yup, that robot mode chest is the back of the cab! You can even see the difference in the grill details.

Yeah, after posting my edit, I saw the tabs in the front of the truck and expected the PM to slot in there.
And from the silhouette I wonder if the cab legs slide down the back of the trailer armor. I can't wait for more pics of this....

I'm looking at the silhouette-in-armour pic closely, and there seems to be some sort of shape and mass behind the smokestacks - so I think the legs fold up against the back of the cab.

That could very well be, but from this pic, there just doesn't look like there is room...

That cab figure looks pretty big. The width looks great. I'm just wondering about the depth.

Far as I can tell, no. Though this might be able to work with him and I wouldn't be surprised to see a redeco/minor retool for Magnus in the near future...

That'd be fantastic. I don't own a Ginrai or PMOP yet (although I may get one down the road, funds permitting), but I like this idea. I love Magnus and while I'm fine with him having Minimus Ambus, I think it'd be neat if he also had a cab that could turn into a robot. Bonus points if Minimus can still fit inside that robot. Either way, this looks fantastic and I hope to get it eventually.
