SOOOOOoooooooo...... not Cliffjumper. What the actual.

Moving on, had some drinks and went to my buddy's place last night. We watched Jason Bourne and Suicide Squad. Hmmmmm....

Jason Bourne. I did not like.
I read a thing prior to me watching, stating that Damon had so few lines and such a big paycheque that they broke it down saying he made X amount of millions per word. So unfortunately I was sensitive to that right off the get go, and it's true, he doesn't have much to say. Nikki Parsons returns, only to be killed in the first 20 minutes. That upset me. They implied in Ultimatum that the pair were an item back in the Treadstone days, and now we can't even explore it further!

The underlying story is ok, but I feel its kinda forced. It doesn't feel necessary to go on this new journey after the events of Ultimatum. And once the plot was set in motion, I could see the conclusion coming a mile away. None of his fight scenes are up to par with the previous films. Especially when they show him in two underground fights that are so uninspired I coulda fell asleep. The car chase in Vegas was decent. There was too much time spent on the supporting cast, and they weren't compelling enough to make me care. And when he confronts Tommy Lee Jones and gets shot? Come on JB, you're slipping in your old age. In closing, it was just simply not up to the same standard as the original trilogy. I would have rather seen a followup to the Renner Identity than have a soulless sequel with Damon.

Suicide Squad. Quinn is hot enough to justify watching this, but not much else. Will Smith was very central which was irritating because you know it's only because of the size of his paycheque. I didn't think he was all that interesting. Really, I felt the same way about this movie as I have about the other DC flicks in the new JLA franchise: Meh. Not bad, not great.

And the Joker was introduced. Now, I can't really say Leto did a bad job, but it was not a good Joker. He appeared to be nothing more than a crazy thug. The Ledger Joker was mastermind. A megalomaniac. Leto just wasn't any of that. And for a brand new franchise, and Batman's greatest villain, I feel it was a poor introduction.

We watched Suicide Squad last weekend. Like you said good but not great. My lack of DC knowledgeable may have allowed me to enjoy a bit more than other (also only cost me 99 cents to watch).

I dug the Joker the way he was a stark raving mad thug that dressed like a pimp. I felt that Ledger left some really big shoes to fill and if you can't match that, go the other way. Quinn was a little boring for me. I felt they relied too much on hot pants and didn't have enough character development.

Smith's character was OK enough.

I enjoyed crazy Captain Boomerang (love the name, don't watch the flash), the fire guy and the redneck military dude. And damn was Waller a cold hearted snake or what!?!

I thought there were a quite few bright spots and a fun ride. It was nice that they didn't drag their feet in origin stories (I can't stand origin stories). Seems like they are planning a franchise of movies. Definitely worth watching of your a fan of comics, superheros or action flicks. ;)^

Two more MP's off the list! Got em from a local dude, for an amazing deal. Altogether just slightly above retail. I'm pretty sure Soundy was (in CAD) 190 or 200, and I know Grim was 100. I don't usually talk dollars, but I paid 320 all in! 220 for a first release Hasbrowave is unheard of! :DANCE:

Been slacking. I got a tat'd Rodders a few weeks ago, and the latest TM's before Xmas.

I actually already have an E-Hobby Black Hotrod (still sealed). Odd fact though, he comes with stickers only suitable to the standard red Rod. There was a set of wicked Decepticon Repro's made for him, but they're long gone and might even be more rare than the figure itself. So I found one with them slapped on already for an awesome deal. Bought!

And of course, the TR's. Another fun batch, and hijinx ensued 8-}

Black Rodimus is the noiceness!! I'm actually shocked that Reprolabels doesn't have that set anymore. And now that I'm thinking of Reprolabels I'm gonna email them and ask about why no set for TRU MP Rodimus Prime to make him cartoon or MORE toy accurate. I'm still sad no one has made better hands for him..

Titan Masters are a lot of fun, if only for the Targetmaster element!! Mixing and matching the heads of robots is cool too I suppose.. :lol:

Don't get me started. I've emailed them a handful of times, begging for a copy of the set, offering 10 times whatever they originally cost, only to get the runaround and/or ghosting :-x
