On Armada Blurr, I dont remember what it was, I think it was his knee extending or somthing. Anyway, I had Armada Blurr since he first came out and just earlier this year, or late last year (my memory is fuzzy on this) he did somthing that I didnt know he could do! I was the one who was controling him of course.

I'm surprised how hidden it's been, flipping those triangular pieces really help keep the backpack clipped on.

A recent thing I've found is that Movie Scorponok's fingers can splay out, and well as his legs (both robot and scorpion) had more joints than I thought.

A fan-mode thing, but Movie Rampage's detached bulldozer blade makes an awesome chair for Rampage to sit in!

Things my Tansformers can do that I never realised? I can't say because I haven't realised!

Took me a few months to find that Uni Sunstreaker can store his gun as an exhaust pipe.

I've owned movie Blackout since he came out, but only very recently did I realize that the main rotor hub contains two halves (on which the blades themselves are attached) which can slide towards each other in transformation, causing the blades to be less splayed out on Blackout's back... I felt pretty dumb finding a solution for something which had always irritated me in Blackout's design.

Other features which are less commonly known:
Animated Shockwave's hidden hunchback joint
Movie Barricade's foot spikes
G1 Ultra Magnus' head which connects to the breastplate to make a little 'jet shuttle'
I'm so meta, even this acronym...

His large fists can also be stored on the trailer near the cab.

Putting G1 Prime in "cube mode", attaching Magnus' head (Ehobby preferable for colour) and sliding him into Powermaster Prime is fun, too.

Armada Sideswipe has tabs on the back of his feet. I've had this toy since it came out and only noticed last week.

Didn't realize you can extend kissPlayers' Convoys' thighs (still too short though) :P

Or henkei Skyfire's forearms can be rotated for a more "Macross" look.

Or that the TFC Megatron's stock extensions are actually functional missile launchers.

Or Sixshot has a 7th mode

And yes....the latest instruction manuals are all cr@p!

Just learned when researching another thread that Legend Wheelie's heels can flip around in robot mode. Makes him a little bow legged, but a little more stable. Thank you Seib's galleries.

His legs extend slightly for robot mode and his crotchplate flips for transformation.

Say what? I must investigate this when I get home.

OK... So I own a complete G1 Skorponok and a G1 Mindwipe: both Headmasters. Skorponok, especially, I've owned for quite a long time.
Yesterday, I picked up the KO headmasters set, and while playing around with them, I noticed something I'd never ever seen or realized before with my original Lord Zarak or Vorath. Yesterday I found out that Headmasters evidently have flaps on their backs to cover the large face while in alt mode.

I actually had to check Vorath to confirm that, yes, he also has this feature

Yeah, I fell prey to that a couple of months ago playing with me G1 Hardhead.

More recently, I realized I was a victim of never flipping around the forearm guards of Classics/Henkey Inferno/Pyro. It's such a simple little thing that makes it look so much cleaner.

See, these kinds of things are specifically _why_ I read the instructions, if only once.

OK, so maybe part of it is from working in tech support, where there's nothing more annoying than being asked a question which is answered on page 1 of the manual.

But still, when it comes to commercial products, you never know when the designer or the cost-cutters or the marketing department have thrown in something unexpected or a slightly different way of handling some standard function. I'd rather not be stuck thinking I have a broken or low-quality product for years merely because I didn't read the instructions.

Where is this hunchback joint on Shockwave?

Today I just found out that Classics legends-class Red Alert's legs will separate. I've owned the toy for two years almost, put reprolabels on it and everything, looked at NUMEROUS photos of other toys of the same mold, but it never dawned on me that I was missing the last part of his transformation. It didn't help that his legs were so tightly held together that I had to get a knife in there to pry them apart.

Oh, and I just recently discovered that WST Red alert's shoulders pull out, which allows his arms to swing forward.

I agree but sometimes things are left out of instructions, like the tiny flaps on ROTF Sideways's chest.

I recently discovered that THS-02 has a flip-out support under the cab-end of the trailer so it doesn't tip up like G1 Prime's trailer does. Also, if you open the two halves of the trailer quick enough it triggers the ramp to extend.

Hold him facing you, near the neck and near the hips. Bend him forward. The hidden joint is where the purple (or gray) plastic of his chest meets the black plastic of his belly. It's only one notch, but it gives him a lot of character.

It's kinda like Deluxe Animated Megatrons hunch joint.
