Re: Transformers Collectors' Club Exclusives and Subscription Figures
Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but didn't see a separate thread specifically related to the final payment date - with the final installment for 3.0 done last week, I thought the 5th figure was supposed to ship this week. Unless they're going to start arriving tomorrow, will that not be happening until next week?

The deadline for the first payment of next year's subscription service expired back on September 1st. You'll have to turn to secondary market sellers like BBTS to get them now.Stealth Claw wrote:was thinking about joining up for the subscription club for the free figure & the other subscription figures, when the lasts I can sign up (and make the first payment) to get the combiner, and how would I go about signing up?

Which will much easier said than done, since the pre-orders for most of the combiner (save ruckus and someone els) are already sold out, so he might have to go through even more alternative methods to get them; or hope there's leftover and buy them from botcon next year

Indeed, but I was wondering if TT would release these guys (or verions of these guys) to help fill out the G1 line (either in the tav line, or in the legends line), it would get japan the figures (offroad at least), and keep them from having to make new molds for them, since several fit like a glove

I'm trying to say that you CAN'T sign up now. The window for TFSS 2016 registration closed back in September, and there's no 2017 subscription to sign up for yet. It's not something that one can sign up for any time of the year. It's only open for a certain period of time during a particular time of year.Stealth Claw wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The deadline for the first payment of next year's subscription service expired back on September 1st. Mine came today as well.
So, uh, remember that email that stated that the QC issues Nacelle had with his wing connectors would also be on this one?
Well...
The wing connectors on mine... are assembled... CORRECTLY!

Re: Transformers Collectors' Club Exclusives and Subscription Figures
It might still be worth getting a membership and buying individual figures, although you won't get the complete set.
My experience from pricing it out seems to be that if just a couple of figures you're looking for wind up sold individually on the club store, the membership plus the price of a couple of figures beats going secondary for everything.

Probably next September, they probably don't even know, as they've gotta plan out next years exclusives, based on what is available and when, and make sure that this year's stuff gets made and shipped out.

And it won't be the same figures for 2017 as they were for 2016 since it's a different set every year.Hellscream9999 wrote:Stealth Claw wrote:Any idea when the sign up for the next sign up would be?

So if you want the Thunder Mayhem combiner, it's too late now.

You also first have to sign up for the Club before you can sign up for the subscription service since the SS is for Club members only. Fortunately, Club registration is year-round so you can do so anytime.Stealth Claw wrote:Sabrblade wrote:And it won't be the same figures for 2017 as they were for 2016 since it's a different set every year.Hellscream9999 wrote:Stealth Claw wrote:Any idea when the sign up for the next sign up would be?

But do so before March 16 if you want to get the membership incentive figure of that year. So if you sign up before March 16 of 2016, you get the 2016 incentive figure. But if you sign up after March 16, 2016, you get the 2017 incentive figure.
And Club membership requires annual payment so you have to pay every year to stay a member.

Transformers Subscription Service 3.0 G2 Starscream Now Arriving in Mailboxes
- Motto: "I've looked into the eye of this island and what I saw was...beautiful"
- Weapon: Double-Barreled, Armor-Piercing Particle Beam Cann...
We have received notice from Seibertronians grimdragon2001 and Sabrblade that the 5th figure in the Transformers Subscription Service 3.0 is now arriving in mailboxes. The figure in question is none other that G2 Starscream which just leave Krok as the final figure along with the mystery bonus figure. Grimdragon2001 was kind enough to provide images of his figure which you can see below.

It's actually a very good deco. My wings are very loose, but otherwise seems fine.
A really nice figure to add to the g2 collection.

Whatever dude. Mine's got no misassemblies and no looseness that I can determine, and frankly with how many uses this mold has had looseness should be expected. That mine is one of the good ones should bring hope to people rather than deter it since it means that any QC issues with this one are not universal.Hellscream9999 wrote:Kinda makes you glad you payed so much for them, and reassures me that I was right to not go in on thunder mayhem; imagine what would happen if the thin and brittle plastic breaks around onslaughts connector ports
I get it. It's easy to complain about QC issues that occur with expensive Fun Pub figures, but really, our money isn't going into a higher degree of production quality control. It's going into premium decos produced at a much smaller, limited run. Yes, it's unfortunate when QC issues arise, but these things happen. It's the same as when they happen on a mass retail figure, only that those are less expensive for us to purchase given their large production run. If these weren't as expensive as they are would there still be as much grief about the Fun Pub toy QC issues compared to that about mass retail toy QC issues? Masterpieces are likewise expensive collector pieces with limited production runs and those have suffered some QC issues as well, yet there isn't nearly as much vitriol given towards them when MP toy QC issues arise as there are when Fun Pub toy QC issues arise.
As I said, this one is not a universally flawed figure, and none of the other TFSS 3.0 toys had any widespread QC issues to speak of besides Nacelle (whose issues were quite minor in the grand scheme of things). Why not commend something when it's done right rather than expect something to always be done wrong? That doesn't sound healthy to be honest.
