The Energon Pub

Just went out to the local Walmart, Target, TRU and Wahlgreens. Nothing save for a solitary Stripes at Walmart. Everything else still has a very small section dedicated to combiner wars with Wheeljacks and Swindles shelfwarming and some old RiD stuff Pre-Fracture wave. Except for Wahlgreens. They only have AoE Power battler Strafes. I was really hoping to find at least a deluxe somewhere

I do think that Sentinel (and Astrotrain) would have been done better justice @ leader class.

Well there's already been a teased Overlord at Botcon so there're on their way. if he's done right he could be one of the best leader class figures to come out in recent years. I nead me an Overlord.

Overlord is going to be amazing I think. I just wonder how his alt-modes are going to be. I know he'll probably have some sort of base mode.

So what are the odds that we'll see Overlord in a couple days? Going off of the leaks Sixshot should be the leader released in wave 3 but maybe they'll have 2 leaders in 3 like the first wave.

@Kurona Well that's a rather dark sense of humor you've got there. In that case I better display Overlord impaling CW Ultra Magnus.
@SillySpringer I don't think the altmodes would be that difficult to pull off. But the base mode is what I'm curious about. If they go for a very G1 base mode, I wonder how they'll pull off the ramps? He should come with two Titanmasters though, one with an IDW look for the head and the other a more classic look, with the Titanmaster bodies colored like his G1 powermasters.

When/if I get Overlord, I'll be keeping him FAR away from Chromedome and Rewind (who will have a tiny shelf all to themselves )

...oh wait, or maybe I could have Rewind standing triumphantly on Overlord's corpse will Chromedome looks on...

Many people don't like the fact that a lot of non-headmaster characters are now Headmasters; but the best part about it is that Overlord being a headmaster will mean you can have third party DJD figures chainsaw his head off.

Yeah, I gently placed Kreo Galv's head on Scourge's body. Though I wonder if there's a Kreo piece you could plug in the head to make it actually stick in the titanmaster port.

There's always shapeways if you couldn't find a piece.

yesterday was a very very big haul day. I got the 3 RID TRU Exclusives, TAV33 Supreme Prime, Prime Breakdown (FINALLY!!!!!!!!) and.... TR Blaster. Believe it or not, of all those figures, TR Blaster is the one I liked least. He's not bad but there was just nothing there for me to wow at. He is basically G1 Blaster with better articulation. I know fans want that but it ends up being anticlimactic when you know exactly what to expect from a figure and get exactly that. Its like buying a redeco fo a toy you have, you wont discover it the same way. MP Soundwave was a big innovation over the G1 design, there was some cool stuff going on with that toy. But Blaster is not much of a surprise when you handled the G1 toy, or other boombox/casette player toys. The base mode is new, but I dont have other TR figures to play around in it yet. But I have felt this way ever since i first saw the leaked images. I thought I was looking at an older 80s toy that was unreleased. Thats pretty much what he is but with better articulation.

Oh and can someone post a pic of how to position the titanmaster in the black accessory to store it in the chest?
