Keep going kid, you're doing great

ZeroWolf wrote:Looking good, I also recommend looking at some of the transforming gundams that are out there for further ideas on what to do with shapes that don't lend themselves to an alt mode.
As it is, the alt mode reminds me a lot of Zeta Gundam in ship mode, so really good
RevTibe wrote:Looking good - you've got a strong range of styles, especially considering how Gimp can be a tough beast to tame. Quite fond of your Brainstorm portrait!
Whoops! Both are good, but the mask-off one was the one that spoke to me the most - the style almost seemed halfway between some of MTMTE's more expressive styles and Animated, which works pretty damn well for conveying emotion! (While maintaining more mechanical consistency.)SillySpringer wrote:Haha thanks Rev! Are you talking about my old Brainstorm portrait, or my newer one with the mask removed?

ZeroWolf wrote:Very, very nice I love how you've used the shadows to help shock waves character come through. This is one of your best yet.
ZeroWolf wrote:That's a good pic of soundwave, the proportions look great. I look forward to coloured pics.
ZeroWolf wrote:Very nice love the atmosphere you've created. Only nitpick I could say is that you could of given sw an edge highlight so he stood out from the backdrop but I really do like this picture. Good work
ZeroWolf wrote:I recommend playing around with light sources in general (like light from below, full on spot light etc), you can create unique visuals from it and it gives you opportunity to show off reflective surfaces. Keep up the good work silly
ZeroWolf wrote:Nice work again silly love the colouring here, though if I'm honest, I thought she had two mouths at first
