UPDATE: So I've gotten most of the torso done...I'm holding off on painting the window boobs for now. I've gotten both feet done and started on a leg. I've also finished the waist and one the rear fender. This is proving to be much more difficult than I thought. There are alot more parts than I expected and alot of metal pin joints...those are a pain to both remove and replace.
I'm debating on whether or not to paint the eyes red. I don't have the translucent paint, so If I did, it would ruin the light up effect to the eyes, but on the other hand, the eyes would stand out whether the lights were on or off. Also the original Shattered Glass Prime had paint over the eyes. So I'm curious to know what you people think I should do. I'll have the figure finished before Monday, and then I'll decide if I'll keep it or sell it.
And here I was, thinking about a Shattered Glass version of the movie, and you did this! Talk about funny coincidence. Do you mind if I use this as a visual ref for Optimus? I can understand if you say no.
My suggestion for the eyes would be a shade of orange. The reason is that it would tie in with the use of copper(I love that choice of paint by the way, it goes well with the other metallic paints and purple in the rest of the colour scheme) in the figure. Red would be the obvious "evil version" choice but it would affect the overall cohesiveness of the colour scheme you have going.
Since the eyes are so small on the figure, a bright orange or an orange highlighted with yellow may be good?
