Weapon: tea cup."
I did this one ages ago but never posted it here. It's actually henkei Grimlock cos he was cheaper than the Classics version as he never made it to England thanks to the Movie toys taking over the shelves.

I wanted him to look like he's been in a fight or two. Let me know what you think...

Plenty more photos of him here if these two aren't enough for you!

Great work as usual! I think the yellow detailing on the gun would be better if replaced by gold or brass paint. The bright yellow looks out of place with the otherwise realistic paint scheme.

It was supposed to be an energy glow. Maybe I should use orange.

This looks pretty sweet, I have to say I just love weathering effects on TFs. :P

Oh, I see. Hmm, well, details can be affected by photography so the yellow might just appear to be popping out more than if I were to see the gun in person. However, I think orange would be a great choice to depict energy glow as it wouldn't contrast as sharply with black as the shade of yellow appears to the photo. :)

I find that, when doing energy glows, or anything of that sort, it's best to use multiple colours. In this case orange as the base, then yellow in a few areas (maybe even a bit of red) would really help to accentuate the lines and make the glow feel more real. Still, very nice work.

Thanks, that sounds good. I'll give it a go sometime! Do you have any pics of what you're talking about?

Yes, it does look rather too bright here. I've stopped photographing my work in direct sunlight. If I get around to trying Samsonator's method maybe I'll redo the gallery in better light.
