What new features would you like to see?
What new features would you like to see?
- Weapon: Particle Beam Cannon
Hallo there my fellow HMW addicts.
The game is up again, and we might get new features down the road. But what would you like to see?
I'd personally like to see the robot classes return again, they created some pretty unique TF's in the past.
Additionally some new tactics would be nice, here's what I had in mind:
1. Firebreath: does damage like ram, with firepower as the feeder stat.
2. Slash: does damage like ram, with skill as the feeder stat.
3. Trample: Does damage to multiple targets, has strength as the feeder stat.
4. Bite: does damage like ram, with speed as the feeder stat.
5. Teleport: works like avoid, with skill as the feeder stat.
6. Stun: The attacked unit cannot do anything for 2 rounds (can be negated by repair).
Any other ideas on this?

Re: What new features would you like to see?
brawling to be given a comparable median raw damage to 0/0 weapons
strafe to be changed so that it isn't self feeding
ram's stun removed or severely toned down.
avoid, working against tactics so it doesn't lose it effectiveness in the later stages of the game
all alts having two tactics
all alts having stardardised tactic cost
armour being changed to reflect it's dual stat nature and work in reverse of weaponry
armour to not be bugged
courage to work on courage/sigma courage basis
chance of fire replacing recharge times
intelligence to do something more than just boost reapir(unlock tactics)
make winning/losing battles MUCH more important.
get the four tactics(grapple, inspire, cover, and drain) in the game.

personally i would like to see the jets and planes being able to dogfight, i just think it be kind of cool.
that and preds getting some more members so missions with them would be worth fighting.

I fully agree with this, some alts are less attractive then others because of their 1 tactic limitation or high cost.
We should divide all stats with a primary tactic starting at 1000xp and a secondary starting at 3000 or 4000.

I think Tammuz covered most of the ideas I was thinking of.. mainly the issue with adding the new tactics. Once they're added, then having all alts with 3 tactics and standardized costs (1k, 4k, 9k) would follow suit.

TF Collection: It has come time to start looking to sell instead of buy, I'll be posting details in the b/s/t forum.

I had been thinking that allowing the equipment of a 2nd weapon choice would be rather interesting.
Many transformers, although not all do carry more than one weapon, so I think from a story standpoint it makes sense. Allowing characters to equip 2 melee, 2 ranged, or 1 melee and one ranged weapon would provide a bit more variety in mission logs.
Character profiles would have to be changed to allow the equipment of a primary and a secondary weapon.
If the character only has a primary weapon, then there is no change. If they have both, then there is some ratio or randomness as to which one is used, as determined by the program.
Maybe even having a certain level in Skill to equip a 2nd weapon would be interesting.
To bring that idea even further, I think having a few specially designed weapons, with high skill requirements that take a special advantage of this. Maybe something like a pair of pistols, that when both are equipped enable you to fire with both of them at the same time. You get two attacks, but then balance the weapon out with a recharge/reload time.
I'm not really suggesting this from a combat point of view, but more from the idea of making the narrative of the combat logs more interesting and diverse.

Re: What new features would you like to see?
Tammuz covered a lot of the major ones, but some of my picks:
- Increase the available weapons - Before the reset, there were a lot more weapons in the armory, even at the lower levels. While it might not be possible to get exactly the same list we had before (unless someone has a screen cap of the pre-reset list), it seems like more weapons would be simple to add.
- Add a link to our PM boxes to the Registry page.
- Return of robot modes, just as a cosmetic feature; an image with no effect on a character's abilities. Allow people to customize their characters even further.
- Not sure how this would work, but some change to make Repair more useful in the lower levels, or a Repair-like tactic that is useful in the lower levels. As it stands now, and based on the pre-reset game, it's going to take me about another 2 - 3 years before my medic characters get to a level where they can actually be useful and not get slaughtered.

I'm thinking self repair, plus giving a intel a seconday function(maybe increase the xp earnt by a factor of [1+(INT/10)], or adjusts it by a factor of [0.5+(INT/10)])

I second (or third, fourth, maybe fifth?) Tammuz' list, most especially all alts being dual tactic (or triple with the new tactics in) having standardized tactics costs, and all unlocking off Int. Yes, I plan to keep bringing it up until it happens, I think it's very important after seeing several of my favorite character's alts become practically unusable.

hurrican Ike is the reason the crash crashed
i'm not sure about unlocking (off int any other other stat) it seems a bit limiting as the points to unlock aren't really worth the same as the point that unlocks is

Just adding on to Tammuz's comment about standardised stat costs, we really need a primary and secondary stat at 1,000 and 4,000xp respectively.
I'm only emphasising this as I've really wanted a proper sea alt (and the space one's look nice too), but the xp really makes them undesirable, I'll keep them now while I can't feed any stats, but sooner or later I'll have to swap out for something else, and we're back to limiting alts again between the excessive priced ones, and the cheap yet effective.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, make INT do more than just give a second tactic or feed repair, and make RANK do what it was intended for: help group tactics.
Or at least *something* more for those two.

I think Tammuz's list is pretty good, but I would put emphasis on standardizing tactic costs and making repair worthwhile in the lower levels.
