Hi guys and gals, this could be nothing to get excited about but Daimchoc has the following to say on the news thread regarding the Asia Exculsive 'Bruticus Maximus' release:

"Rumors are floating around that FP will be releasing their Crossfire Bruticus add-on set in G1 colors. "

Not sure where these rumours are being seen, but a re-release would make very much sense. I guess Blastoff would benefit the most from the recolour?

And less than 24 hours after I finally caved and bought a Bruticus on eBay for inflated rates

Other than a little purple missing, Munitioner/Explorer were done in G1 colors. And repro-labels took care of the purple. However, I would buy a set just to use the extra add ons to form a 2nd Bruticus in G2 colors with the energon versions and crossfire repaints. Having the extra robots to display is an added bonus.

They're already in G1 colors, so ...

Still, it's nice to know those who don't have them can get them. And this is added incentive to get that newest Bruticus set.

Too bad they'll probably be like $50-ish per set, plus the $100+ for the Bruticus set itself. I'm willing to pay just for the set itself, not the add-ons, even though they are pretty cool.

I'm probably the only one in my unusual position: I got the Crossfire 02 sets over a year ago during the second release, and never got around to getting a Bruticus to go with it. So I'm hoping my guys fit well with this Bruticus, and hoping the reissue in modified colors is just a rumor.

I hope this is true. There are many Brutici out there still, especially if you disregard color and grab up some of the Energon/Superlink versions of the molds.

I think I'd be down for a second set to make another custom one like I did with the first set I got.
